“Now run from me.”
I blinked, my eyes dumbfounded while looking at him. I didn't even realise when he put a partition between us drivers. Probably when I was busy waving at my little sister. He was too sneaky with his moves. He gave me an evil smirk, and it made me swallow hard. I had nowhere to run away from him. He knew he had me in his claws. He moved his face forward and kissed my jaw, making me feel tingles once again. He raised his eyelids to look at me. His cold blue eyes held so much mischief in them. My heart never stopped beating fast. He moved forward, ready to cut the distance between our faces, when my palm covered his lips.
“Erick, no,” I said, discarding whatever evil plan was going on in his head. He raised his eyebrows when I said that. I refused to move my hand from his mouth. He licked my palm. I gasped at his childish behaviour. It made me immediately move it away.
“Kiss me, and I will let you go,” he said, trying to make a deal with me. I moved my head in.
“Then you are stuck with me in this car on my lap until you do it,” he said with an evil grin on his lips. My eyes widen when he says that.
“Erick, I have a long day ahead. Stop this and drop me at my office,” I said, not accepting his suggestion. I knew this was bound to happen, and that's why I didn't want to come with him. I know how evil this man is. He will end up finding ways to keep me stuck with him.
"No, it's not fair. You can't do that,” I said, not ready to do what he said. I know how big of an export he is, turning one thing into another. My cell phone rang, and I saw Evelyn's number flashing on it.
"See, I'm already late. They are waiting for me,” I said, emphasising getting late.
“Then kiss me, and I will drop you. Simple,” he said, as if it were so easy to do that. My cell phone kept ringing. I decided to take it when he took it from my hand. He silenced it and pocketed it.
“Only kiss,” I said firmly because I knew. The more I prolong it, the more he will add on things.
“Are you suggesting something else too?” he asked with a raised brow and an evil smile still on the corner of his lips.
"No,” I said, horrified, and it made him chuckle. My cell phone started to ring again, and it was my cue to get over it. I cupped his face and pressed my lips against his. How lips went still for a few seconds as if not expecting it to happen this soon. I was done kissing him, as he said. I decided to pull my face away when he slipped his hands in my hair, not letting me move my head. He kissed me hard and fast while his hands found their way to my breast. He presses them over my top. He was back to his old habits. In the past, too, whenever we kissed, his hands found their way to my breast. Old habits die hard. All my moaning was suppressed by his mouth. He kept kissing me until the car stopped and the driver announced we had reached. I was breathless when he let go of my mouth. My cherry-red lip gloss was all over his lips. He opened a few buttons on his shirt while looking at me with his desired-filled eyes. I was taking deep breaths, hungrily filling my lungs, when he moved forward and pecked my lips once again.
“Go before I change my mind,” he said sternly with a clenched jaw. He exhaled deeply before looking away. I took it as my cue to run away before he changed his mind. I had just put my foot out when he grabbed my hand, stopping me. My heart thumped loudly in fear. I swallowed hard before looking at him.
"Pick up my calls when I call you,” he said sternly, looking straight into my eyes. I had no choice but to nod my head. Then he let go of my hand. But then he immediately grabbed my hand. It made my heart beat fast again. I took a deep breath to look at him once again. He showed me my cell phone with a smirk on the corner of his lips. I remembered he had pocketed it earlier. I grabbed it immediately. I didn't wait, and I walked away as soon as possible. I kept feeling his heated gaze on my back until I disappeared into the building. All my lip gloss was smeared. I made sure to wipe my lips on my way to work and apply a new layer to them. I said good morning to everyone on my way.
“Why were you not picking up the call?” Evelyn said as soon as I walked into my office. They both were waiting for me.
“Long story,” I said while trying my best not to let my emotions come up on my face.
“Is it something to do with a person's name that started with E?” Aria said, and this time I couldn't help but flush. Aria raised her eyebrow in question when she saw my flushed face.
"No,” I said quickly. She moved her head in amusement.
“It's not good to start a day with a lie, my dearest,” she teases with Bridgerton fever on her head. A new season is about to come, and she can't keep calm. I rolled my eyes and decided to take my seat.
“Show me the designs you have taken out for Isabella and Sage,” I told her, and her brows furrowed. She moved her head when I said that. It made me look at her with the same expression.
“Before that, you have to see your dress,” Aria said firmly before standing up from her seat. She picked up the dress to show me. I exhaled deeply.
I'm not ready for it.
