chapter 14

Joshs pov

Its been months and still no chloe and no rougue pack!! I'm getting seriously pissed off now. All my time and effort is going into finding theses two!! My laptop pings with a new email.

Dear Alpha Joshua walker.  My name is Collin Brown, I'm the beta of the sapphire pack. Your beta Carter has been in contact about a rougue pack, I believe the person in question has struck again by you. A pack called 'the silver moon pack' has sent an alert to me as we believe its an old member of my pack they was attacked 2 days ago. The alpha and beta was the main target of over 50 rouges but it seems they have a leader and it's an organised and planned attack. It seems he is getting closer to your pack grounds and I'm worried a attack on your pack is pending. I know you suffered an attack a few years ago which led to a great loss but now it's common knowledge you have taken the alpha title I believe he's coming back. Please contact me if you wish for our assistance in anything. We will be happy to help.

I sit and read it a few times trying to make sense of the message, can I trust this Colin?

"Carter my office now"

"Seriously? Give me half hour?"

"No.. now"

"No, 20 minute's okay. Me and Emily are.... kind of-"

"Fine!"

I hear him chuckle as I close the connection. I start pacing my office, running my fingers through my hair. I decide to play some music and distract myself while I wait for carter.

35 minutes later he comes in with a smile on his face. Dirty fucker

"Sorry man, Emily can't get eno-"

" I don't care carter, read this"

I spin the laptop round and carter takes it to the sofa and sits down, I watch him closely as he reads the email.

"I don't know man. I know the sapphire team are the pack we spoke about. Maybe we arrange a meeting? We can take extra men incase something is up"

"Yeah that's a good idea. I'll message back and arrange a meeting"

3 days later we're getting ready for the meeting. We arranged to meet in a unclaimed land between both packs. We couldn't make it too public cos of humans but we didn't want them on our grounds and we didn't want to go to there's either.

Me and carter are waiting in the cleaing. We have 20 men surrounded in case shit goes down.

"Car approaching boss should be with you in a few minutes can only see 2 people in the car " one of my men mind link me

3 minutes later we hear a car and then sounds of heavy foot steps. 2 large men step out of the woods. A man around 6ft, early 40s, dark brown hair which is starting to gray at the roots. He's a muscular man who's dressed in black trousers and a white button shirt. His blue eyes meet mine as he smiles "you must be josh?"

I nod in response "okay, so you must be carter?"

Carter nods slowly "and you are?"

"Good to meet you both, I'm Carl brown and this" he nods to the man to his right. He's the same size and build as Carl. He has dark hair and blue eyes. He's wearing black jeans and a white fitted top but maybe mid 30s at most. "Is my brother collin. I believe you two have spoken about the situation?"

I nod again not giving too much away. "Not much of a talker I see. No worries I'll do the talking you can listen and ask questions at the end, okay?"

Again I nod. "Right, so 15 years ago I had not long become alpha after taking over from my uncle. Within a week I had a challenge off a man called Stuart who's the same age as me. I accepted and he submitted. Then he challenged collin, again he accepted and he submitted.  It was like it became his mission to defeat us. He trained more and become quite strong and quick as well"

Carl lowers his gaze for a moment before taking a breath and continuing " so the challenges become more frequent.  It was almost a monthly occurrence. We warned him he will be banished if it continued. We tried to help, we gave him jobs and little 'missions' but it was never enough" Carl shook his and then collin started to talk

"He attacked me in my own house! I was in bed and he broke in and tried killing me! I said to Carl he should of been locked up or killed for that stupid stunt!! He stabbed me a few times. If it wasn't for my wolf strength and healing abilities I would be dead!"

I can see that Carl felt guilty and collin was angry. Carl took a breath and spoke "yes I realise that now he should of been killed but I hadn't been alpha long! I didn't want to kill a member of my own pack! I thought he just had something against me and collin so I kicked him out and told him to never come back. I heard he had tried to get into some packs but they didn't trust him and didn't allow him, after about 5 years he went fully rouge. Then I started hearing how he was trying to form his own pack. Around 5 years after that attacks started happening. They've been happening for around 5 years now and slowly getting worse! I think he's either trying to take the alphas out as a jealously thing and to maybe take the pack over or he's trying to build up experience to take on me. Either way I think we need to help each other"

There was a long pause before carter spoke "you finished?"

They both nodded.

I cleared my throat "seems like we have a problem on our hands then doesn't it?"

An hour later we worked out a pattern to the attacks. He seems to be working his way around starting with the weaker and smaller packs and working up to the bigger and stronger packs. He's getting his rouges to do most of the fighting for him but if we're correct then it means a war is coming. He's planning a big attack on the sapphire pack and we agreed to help.

We head back home, I go up to my room and shower, I let the hot water run over my body. I've been so mentally drained lately with all this shit going on. I get out and throw on a pair of shorts and turn my tv on. My laptop dings again... seriously!

"Dear Alpha Joshua Walker. I'm alpha evie. Please contact me on this number; 081246541267 I think I have some information about a shewolf you're looking for"

Well that's very vague but maybe she means chloe or Shannon? I type a reply that I'll contact her tomorrow around 10am. I turn off my laptop and try to sleep but with all the shit going on in my head I know it'll be nearly impossible to sleep tonight

Just to add obviously this is a fake number. It's just alot of numbers i ramdinly typed lol.
