Carter's pov.

I step forward "i wouldn't do that beta! See I have a offer for you, I'll let her live if you tell me where the alpha and his mate are, I know he found her. I've been watching and I've seen the change"

"Come on man you know i can't do that. I'm sorry alpha Derrick done that to you but he was protecting his family and his pack. I can't imagine the pain you went through but you don't have to keep hurting this pack because of what our past alpha done"

"You'll understand when I take your child from you"

He moves the knife to Emily's stomach and I'm over come with fear and anger, as I go to take a step the door open and I spin round to see Steve holding a woman with a knife to her neck. She's small and skinny with long white hair, her eyes are brown with tints of purple which means she isn't human or wolf, Stuart gasps when he sees her

"Clara!! What happened!!" He roars at her

I turn back to face Stuart and Steve speaks from behind me "well carter it seems I found this lovely witch on the boarders casting some kind of spell. She managed to almost kill Harrison and hurt some of our other men before me and 4 others took her down. It seems like it's his mate" .

I don't take my eyes off Stuart "well isn't that a surprise.  I'm guessing she's the witch that Carl told us about?"

The woman speaks from behind me "I told you this wasn't a good idea Stuart!! I know the old alpha took our milly from us but please stop this now. You killed that alpha who took her, it's time to end it now"

Stuart looks at her for a Second "they need to suffer the same pain Clara!" He pushes the knife into Emily and runs out the back door, I run over to Emily and kneel by her side

"make sure he doesn't get away!!" Steve screams at the guards

Steve stays behind me holding the woman but I hear noise outside I block it out and mind link for the pack doctor. I press my hand to Emily's stomach to help slow the bleeding "stay with me baby!!"

I mind link josh again "WE HAVE AN EMGERGANCY HERE!!! GET IN TOUCH PLEASE! GODDESS JOSH WE NEED YOU AT HOME!!"

Its all a blur as people come flooding into the house, the head doctor Irene scoops Emily up on a stretcher and rushes out the house to the pack hospital. I run past Steve

"take her to the cells!! If they have Stuart make sure he's taken to the cells as well!!!"

Emily has been rushed to surgery and I'm pacing the halls. Josh finally makes contact with me and I tell him to link Steve as I can't talk about it right now. I shut off connections to everyone sit and wait, Steve comes down the hall and sits by me "any news yet?"

I shake my head "she'll be okay, I took the witch the cells but the man got away. I'm sorry beta. I have my best men watching the witch and they're to wait for you or josh for further instructions"

I just nod, I'm so numb right now. The doors finally open and Irene walks out "She's okay carter"

"The baby?"

"It was close for both of them, luckily we got the bleeding under control and we delivered the baby via c-section. Emily is still unconscious but in the recovery room, baby is in the baby unit. Do you want to see her?"

I finally let the tears fall. They're okay! They're both alive, thank the goddess!.

I follow Irene to the children's ward. She scans her card and we walk down another corridor until we finally reach a private room she pushes the door open where I see two young woman stood by a glass cot. They smile at me as I walk in "beta"

I walk over to where they are and look in. I'm over whelmed with love as i look at the tiny little baby

"Want to hold her?" A woman asks me and I snapped out of my thoughts. I sit down on the big chair and quickly take my jacket and top off as I read skin to skin helps babies. The woman smiles at me as she carries the baby over

"here you go daddy"

she places her on my chest, her stomach against  my chest, the baby is all scrunched up and I gently place my hand on her bottom to hold her up and my other hand goes to the back of her head as Emily kept telling me how important it was that i support the babies head.

The nurse places a small blanket over her. I look down at my daughter she's absolutely perfect, she looks just like Emily but has my blonde hair, she coos a little and opens her eyes at me "hello sweetheart this definitely wasnt how i imagined meeting you"

I kiss her head gently and she snuggles back into me. I can't stop the tears as I'm over come with love, happiness and so bloody thankful she's alive I look up at the young nurse "how's Emily?"

"She's okay. She should be waking up soon, when your finished your cuddles we'll pop her back in and take her to meet mummy"

I could just stay like this forever. My baby girl is absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier. After ten minute's they move her off me and we walk a short walk to Emily's room. She smiles at me when I walk in, I rush over to her and hug her

"Goddess Emily! I was so scared!"

"I'm fine. Where's the baby"

"She's here" the nurse says behind me. She gets the baby out the cot and places her on Emily's chest. Emily bursts into tears

"oh goddess your beautiful! Welcome to the family olive" at that the baby starts crying

"I don't think she likes the idea of this family"

I laugh and kiss Emily's head. I sit down next to her and watch as the nurse helps Emily to get the baby into position so she can latch, I have no idea what it all means as she sits and talks to Emily about feeding and latching, I watch in awe as Emily starts feeing our daughter. Despite the way she come into the world, I couldn't be more happier now.
