chapter 5

Kayleighs pov

"Kay, kay, wake up, Kayleigh "

I feel someone nudging me, I stretch out and open my eyes to find Sophie over me. Still in last night's clothes, messy hair and her make up smudged over her face

"What the fuck happened last night? Why are you asleep on my sofa, my house Is spotless, if it wasn't for my parents bedroom door being off the hinges I would swear I didn't have a party last night"

A image from finding Sophie pops into my head and I'm filled with anger.

"I cleaned up after everyone left"

I sit up on the sofa and yawn.

"Listen soph we need to talk about last night"

She looks at me with her eye brow raised

"Alright. Let me have a shower and get some clean clothes on, you can -"

"No. Please it's important "

I know if anything happened and she wants to tell the police the evidence will be washed away if she has a shower.

She sits down next to me I can tell she's nervous.

"How much can you remember from last night?"

"Mmm, I don't know it's all a bit fuzzy. I remember you coming here"

"How much did you have to drink soph this is important "

"Why? What happened kay!"

" I think your drink was spiked. Do you know a lad called Sean?"

She's in shock by my comment and I feel so guilty for doing do this to her.

"Yeah I think he come with cassie theyre in the same class at college or something"

I take a deep breathe and tell her about what I saw and made sure she knew how important it was to get checked to make sure she's okay. I realise now I should of taken her to the hospital last night but I didn't think at the time. I was drunk myself and it's the first time something like this has happened. I feel the guilt wash over me.

"I'm so sorry soph. I should of taken you to the hospital but I didn't even think"

I look at her and she's got tears in her eyes. I pull her in for a hug and she rests her head on my shoulder. I feel her slightly shaking where I know she's crying. I try to comfort her but I don't know what what to say. After a while she agrees to go to the hospital and have blood work done to see if there's anything in her system.  We order some breakfast to be delivered and I try my best to be there for her but I don't know how I would feel if is was me. I offer to go to the hospital with her but she said she'd prefer to go on her own, she gets dressed but keeps her underwear in his bag incase she decides to go forward to the police.  She calls a taxi to go to the hospital and promised to update me, I get in a separate taxi and head home.

The next day after training is done me, abi and evie decide to head into town to do some shopping and get some lunch. As i go and get ready Sophie rings me to say the hospital ran some tests and the conformed that she had been spiked but she didn't want to open an investigation so she's left it now..

I meet abi and evie downstairs and we take abis car to the shopping center and get some shopping done. I finally decide I want to go dark blue again which abi will help me with when we get chance. We get a burger and then get a coffee on the way home. Abi shows us this little coffee shop and we head in to order our drinks. I'm talking to abi scanning the menu when we notice the air change. I don't know why or how but it suddenly felt different, I look over at evie to check she felt it and she's just stood there. Blank expressions on her face. What is going on?

Once outside I stand in front of evie "what was that! It looked like you saw a ghost in there! Did you see an older lover or an enemy ?"

Then abi said something I never thought I'd hear "no kay, she's just seen her mate"

I'm stood with my open as evie snaps some reply at abi and they have a bickering match on the way to the car. My alpha has found her mate!! What the fuck..

We get home and evie storms off upstairs. Me and abi go to the lounge and sit down

"I think I fucked up kay! She's so angry at me but I was just so excited for her. She's finally found her mate"

"Yeah I get your excited for her ab but it also wasn't your place to say anything. You need to go and talk to her"

Abi looks at me with sad eyes "I know, I'll give her some time to cool off and then I'll go and see her"

She walks out the room to go and find kai. I grab my cigarettes and walk outside, I sit out in the back garden with my coffee and light my cigarette... I still can't believe evie has found her mate. I'm excited and nervous to meet him.
