chapter 15

Joshs pov

I'm up at 6am, I head to the kitchen and make some breakfast before heading to training with the pack. I meet everyone one the field and start stretching.

"Right! Team up! It's time to spar" carter shouts. We smile and make our way over to everyone else. Me and carter always spar together first and then we all switch and spar with other people. We're staying in human form today.

I stand and wait for carter to stop talking to Emily before he kisses her and comes over to me "man that girl is so fine!!" He's still focused on Emily so I tackle him and he lands face first on the floor "what the hell man!!"

"Stop eye fucking your mate and fight already!" He jumps up and smirks at me "don't be jealous now alpha it isn't a good look"

He kicks his long leg out and manages to sweep my legs from under me and I land my ass, Carter is laughing at me but I reach for his legs and bring him down to the floor, in one quick movement I get him in head lock and he's smacking my arm. I laugh and let him go. We stand up and face each other again as I go to speak he kicks me in the stomach and I go flying across the field. Dam he's strong!! 

"What was that for!" I shout him as I run back to wards him I fake right and he falls for it stepping left, I slam my elbow into his nose, it starts bleeding and this is where I realise the whole pack Is watching us.  He takes his top off and uses it to wipe his nose before laughing "that was unfair!"

"So was booting me in the stomach!!"

He charges at me again and I charge at him, I over power him and slam him to the floor on his back. I wrap my legs around his body and grab his arm twisting it into a arm lock. "Ahhh fuck! Okay! Okay! You win! Get off!!" He starts screaming so I let him go, stand up and face the pack. As I open my mouth to speak I'm slammed to the floor again with carter on my back "never turn your back on your opponent alpha"

Everyone laughs before I turn round and headbutt him, he goes flying "and never underestimate your opponent isn't that right beta?" He gets up laughing "that's twice you've basically broken my nose!!"

I shrug my shoulders "good job your quick healer isn't it"

After our little fight we all change teams and spar with other members. An hour later we're all sore and tired so we all head back and get ready for the day. I told carter to be at mine for 10 so he can listen in on the phone call.

9:57 he's walking into my living room, his face doesn't look like we've been fighting at all.  I pat his back as he approaches "good training today"

"Yeah was fun until you bust my nose! Twice!!"

We start laughing and tell him about the email I got last night.

"Seriously? Another email? Isn't that a bit suss?"

"She left her number so we'll see, you ready?"

Carter nods and I ring the number. After a few rings a woman answers

" hello"

"Hi, is this evie?"

"Yes it is. Thank you for getting in contact with me josh"

"No worries at all, you said you've been informed about a she wolf around your area Is that right?"

"Yeah that's right. I was informed by another alpha. He called a meeting for packs around my area and said that a she wolf has been making her way from the south and contacting packs and asking around about a lone wolf she is trying to find"

I try to hide my anger "okay, have you got any names? We have a few people from a pack that have left and I'm wondering if it's the same people?"

"yes I do. The she wolf asking the questions said her name was chloe and she's looking for a lone wolf named shannon"

I cant stop the growl that leaves my chest "Okay, where is your pack located "

"I'm the alpha of the wolf creek pack"

"Right, evie I'm going to give you some information, you do not repeat it and me and my beta will be coming to your pack tomorrow do you understand"

Now  im pissed off! I knew she was after Shannon! I swear to the goddess when I find her she's dead!

"Of course. I alpha evie of the wolf creek pack gave you my word that the information you share with me will remain confidential aphla josh"

"Thank you. Shannon is my little sister. She left the pack around a year ago, we stay in regular contact and she's settled into your town. Chloe is her ex girlfriend.  She is a danger to Shannon. She went missing a few months ago and I've been sending my men out to try and track her but with no luck. I haven't said anything to Shannon as I don't want her to panic. When she was 18 she met her wolf but not long after her wolf went into hiding due to the abuse. She can no longer shift so this will give chloe the upper hand as Shannon won't have her wolf or the wolf strength to fight off chloe if needed"

"Thank you for the information josh I appreciate it. You and your beta are welcome to come to the pack and help us to locate chloe and keep Shannon left but I also have some information that you can not repeat to another soul"

"I alpha josh of the hilltop pack give you my word that the information you share with me will remain confidential aphla evie"

"Your sister is my mate. We met a few weeks ago and it made her wolf reappear. I have full faith that her wolf will protect her if needed but I don't want that to happen. We need to stop chloe before she has chance to get close to Shannon"

I'm silent for a moment, me and carter are just smiling at each other like fools. I'm so happy she's finally found her true mate and she's an alpha!! I know she will protect her at all costs

"Well shit" I can't help the little chuckle "I wasn't expecting to hear that. I guess that's why you reached out for information?"

"Yes it is. I just want her safe josh"

"I appreciate that evie. I will inform my beta now and we will leave by sunrise to get to you ASAP. Please don't tell Shannon I'm coming, I don't want to worry her. We will track chloe down and then I will take her back to my pack for her punishment. Ill see you tomorrow evie. I look forward to seeing you"

"Like wise josh. I'll see you tomorrow take care"

I hang up the phone and look at carter "well shit, did you hear that?!"

"So before we go on this trip I need to tell you something"

I raise my eye brows at him "go on"

"I can't put myself in danger man. I know it's your sister but -"

"Spit it out man! " I'm angry he's saying he won't help fight for my sister!?

"Well, I need to get back to Emily, she pregnant "

He's got a huge smile on his face, I walk over and hugged him tight "well fuck!! A mini carter running around! Goddess help us!"
