Joshs pov

"Please alpha you need to let me clean the wounds so they're not infected"

"Fuck off nick! I need to check on evie! That's not only my mates current alpha it's her cousin!"

I push him but he pushes me back down " all due respect alpha you're my priority now the quicker you sit and let me clean that gash on your head the quicker you can leave!"

I growl and sit back as he washes the cut on my head and gives me a few stitches "there you go. It should heal in a few days but any dizzy spells, confusion, sickness etc you come back okay?"

I nod and stand up. My whole body aches but I need to be with kayleigh.  I find her sitting in the chair in the waiting room by Shannon. Shannon is a mess and I know how she feels. I remember the feeling when I was waiting for kayleigh just last week it seems that since me and kayleigh met it's Just brought bad luck! I shake off the feeling and hug shannon

"Hey kid. How you holding up?"

She leans into me and cries "it was like I was watching the fight with dad all over again josh!! I can't loose her! Please don't let them take her from me!"

She's shaking from crying so much. I rub her back and kiss her head "she isn't going anywhere, I promise. The Doctors will do everything they can. Irene is the best"

She pulls back and looks at me with a deathly glare "she couldn't save dad though could she! What if she can't save evie!!"

She pushes past me and walks to the other side of the room. She's right, Irene tried everything but couldn't save dad. I try not to let the anger take over me as I go to kaylighs and take her hand in mine. I know she's scared. Her wolf will be worried for her alpha but her human side will be worried for her family member. Again I know that feeling, it's how I felt with dad. Both human and wolf worry for their alpha and family.

Carter joins us a little while after.  He walks in with mum. She rushes to Shannon and hugs her, Carter sits next to me. Kayleigh looks over

"hows Emily? She saved my ass back there"

Carter smiles at her "she's okay Just a little shaken"

Kayleigh explains what Emily done for her and I mindlink Emily to thank her.

Doctor Alex and nurse Amy walk out and nod their heads to me and carter "alpha, beta"

Kayleigh straightens up and Shannon comes over "is she okay!" Shannon almost screams at them

Amy answers her "She's in a really bad way. We had to resuscitate her twice, she lost alot of blood from a wound in her stomach. Did you see any shifters in human form?"

I look at her confused "no, they was all wolves"

"Hmm. It seems that evie was injured by something that wasn't wolf. We thought maybe a stab wound but she isn't healing as she should, being a alpha she should heal quicker but something is stopping it"

Carter stands up and pulls me up "THE WITCH!!"

Amy nods "yes, if a witch is strong enough they can course a bad injury but you said you didn't see anyone in human form?"

"Let's go!" I rush out the hospital with carter closely behind me. We head over to cells, there's no gaurds on the door but we expect they joined in on the fight, we open the door and make our way inside. The cells are dark, cold and gloomy place. It's almost like a dungeon but that's the point of it, it's not meant to be cozy. We follow the dimly lite corridor and see 2 dead guards by the first door
