chapter 21

Kayleigh pov

Me,  evie and abi are in the kitchen talking, after the lads left Shannon suddenly disappears. Abi makes us a drink with some biscuits and a while later Shannon comes down

Evie looks at her "Everything go okay ?"

"Yeah. I lied about my uncle being in hospital and my charger broke etc. I spun a big web of lies evie and I feel awful!"

" I know you feel bad but its for the best"

I raise my eyebrow  "who did you lie to and why?"

"My room mate is human and obviously I've been missing for a few days so I said I went home to be with my sick uncle cos obviously that'll be easier then explaining what really happened"

"That makes sense now. How did she take it?"

"She called the police! They said they wouldn't do a search for 48 hours which luckily I got in touch before the 48 hours cos if the police would of seen chloe on the cctv and that would be hard to explain"

The room falls silent

"Anyway Kayleigh I need to have a chat with you "

I smile at her before nodding "go on"

"You and my brother ?"

My body tingles at the thought of him and i flashe her a big smile "me and your brother had a very nice time together after the whole chloe thing"

Her eyes widen at my words and then she start laughing "ewwww"

I shrug my shoulder "don't ask questions if you aren't prepared for the answers and besides he's my mate"

Now theyre all staring at me with their jaws on the floor but I just get up laughing and walk out the room.

I mind link josh and tell him I've told Shannon. I go to my room and have a shower ready for work. Once showered I put my black jeans and black top on and throw my hair into a messy bun, I head downstairs and help abi with dinner before I have to go to work

"Soooo, you and josh?" Abi wiggles her eye brows at me. I roll my eyes and get a glass of water

"Ohh come on! Give me some details! Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore kai but anyone with eyes can see how hunky that man is!!"

I laugh and sit my drink down "well, when evie called us to the kitchen to say about Shannon, I saw him and my wolf went mad so i-"

"I know how you met you twat!! I want the juicy details!"

"You want to know if we had sex?" I raise my eye brow at her

"Well when you put it like that it does sound weird asking your sister if she had sex" she stops and thinks for a minute "okay I don't need to know if you had sex, tell me about him?"

"Hmm okay, so he's very intimidating"

"Yeah I know! When he shouted at the pack when evie said Shannon was her mate I almost pissed myself! I was so scared!"

We both laugh "but seriously ab, he's funny, sweet and very caring"

She's smiling at me "ohh kay I'm so happy for you, did he mark you?"

"Nooo not yet, I think ill wait for that"

"It's the best feeling when you find your mate. I really am so happy for you "

We stand up and hug before starting dinner. Its now 5pm and we've just done a simple pasta dish. Me, abi, kai, Shannon and evie are at the table having small talk. Once we're all done evie and kai tidies up.
