chapter 26

Joshs pov

I rush to my room and start throwing clothes Into bag, Carter is behind me "calm down josh. You can't just run off!!"

I turn around and storm over to him "Like fuck I can't!!! Imagine that was Emily!! Imagine you've been told Emily isn't in a good way!"

He stars at me "EXCTALY CARTER!! YOU WOULDN'T STAND AROUND WOULD YOU! NOW MOVE I GOT TO GO, YOURE IN CHARGE!"

I push past him and walk to my car. He's still following me "what carter!!"

"You need to calm down josh. I get your worried but I can't let you drive in this state man! Please just give yourself 5 minutes.  Calm down and ill happily step away"

I put my bag in the car and lean against it so I'm facing him "fine"

"I'm sure she'll be okay josh. Once you're there it'll be make her feel better. You know I have it covered here, I would come with you but I can't leave Emily now"

Emily is due to have their pup at any time so I know carter wants to stay with her and I'll never take the risk of him missing the birth.

" I know. I've got to go but I'll let you know more when I'm there. Let me know if anything happens here okay"

He pulls me into a hug and pats my back "sure thing man, stay safe okay"

I nod at him and mind link the pack to let them know I'm away and carter is in charge. I type the address into my phone and set off

It's now 4am and I haven't slept yet I've finally arrived at wolf creek and the gaurds to evies pack let me in. I thank them and park by the pack house, I go to knock the door but it swings open and Shannon is there. She slams in to me

"ahh goddess josh! We was so scared for her! She's in the pack hospital now ill take you to her"

I follow Shannon to a big building not too far from the house, I follow her inside and down a long corridor before I see evie and a few others sat there. I nod to evie and she comes over to me "evie what happened!"

She motions for me to sit down and she tells me about the rogues attacking them. Kayleigh seemed to take the major hit of it. Shannon has a few small cuts that's now healing, evie had a bruise on her face and few deep cuts that's healed. There's three men who are introduced as George, Toby and jason. George keeps saying its his fault as they went out for his birthday and only just turning 18 he can't shift yet and kept blaming himself for not doing more

"Kayleigh had a bad injury her leg and shoulder that wouldn't heal right so they've taken her into surgery to try and repair it. She should be out soon" evie gives me a weak smile and sit next to Shannon and she holds my hand. I mindlink carter to update him.

About 20 minutes later the big doors open and an older man wearing scrubs steps out and bows to evie

"we've done all we can alpha. She had major damage to her right leg. We've repaired the damage but she also suffered an injury to her head, she had a deep cut that needed stitches and we'll do extra scans to make sure there isnt pertinent damage. She will need at least 2 weeks to recover for leg but I will like regular check ups for her brain injury.. Thankfully as we know her wolf will help her heal alot faster but she's going into the recovery room now. I can only allow 2 people in there"

Evies nods at me "this is her mate Josh. He's got priority"

The man nods and bows at me "alpha?"

"Yes sir, evie can you or abi come with me ?I think it'll be best for her to have someone she's close with be there as well"
