chapter 45

Joshs pov.

Wednesday come around too quickly. The girls have been here for almost two weeks now but most of that was spent with evie in the hospital.

We're stood outside mum's house saying goodbye once again. Shannon is the first to say goodbye. She hugs mum tightly "message me as soon as you're home and please don't leave it so long next time. We'll plan something for a big pack barbecue soon!"

"I will, that definitely sounds like a plan! Love you mum"

"Love you too my sweet girl"

She Steps away and comes  to me, I hug her tightly and she snuggles into my chest "I'll see you in a few weeks. Love you kid" I kiss her head "love you too josh" She walks to the car and evie stands infront of us "I'm not a very affectionate woman but I just want to say thank you for everything you've done for me during my stay here. You've both made me feel like family and I really appreciate it" mum doesn't take note of her not being affectionate and hugs her anyway "you are family evie!"

They're both smiling "hey, I'm sorry for how things started, it wasn't a great start to meeting everyone was it" I nervously laugh "but I'm glad you're okay. I'll see you soon"

We shake hands and she joins Shannon in the car. Kayleigh hugs mum "thank you for everything mandy. I'll hopefully see you again soon"

"You're welcome, hopefully next time we see you we'll be celebrating you as our luna"

"Hmm yeah maybe" kayleigh smiles and comes to me. I pick her up and she wraps her arms and legs around me. I hold her tight and bury my face in her neck breathing in her sweet scent before I softly put my lips on hers. The kiss is soft and slow and I fight the urge to drag her back to mine, mark her and never let her go "I don't want you to go" I say as I finally pull away.

She leans her head on mine, tears filling her eyes. "This isn't goodbye josh. It's more like a see you later. I promise I'll be seeing you as soon as I can and I'll be back here as your luna in now time"

" I can't wait" I kiss her again and put her down. She slowly walks to the car and gets in the back seat before blowing kisses out the window. They pull off and all wave. Me and mum watch them leave "they're sweet girls" mum says beside me

"They are. We're very lucky to have them"

I walk mum back to hers before making my way to the cells. I decide to check on the prisoners,  i have four gaurds outside the main door. They all bow their heads as I walk past, I walk down the first short corridor and have another four gaurds on that door, they let me through and I carry on walking down the long, twisty corridors until I reach the cells, the two guards nod at me as they let me through the last doors.

After the last escape we added more thicker soild doors and have more guards on the doors but also around the building. I have guards inside, the main front door and also have an extra four protrollig the back area. I'm pretty sure we won't have any further attacks or attempted escapes but I'm not taking the risk.

Carl, his men and the witches plan to leave tomorrow, pam Is slowly recovering from her hit and needs time to relax and heal. I make my way to the fist cell where Mary is. The room is dark and basic. Only a bed and a toilet, the witches have been injected with a medication to make them weak so they can't cast spells or escape. She looks up at me as I get closer, the soild metal door only has a small window in it. "Hi mary"

"Alpha" she nods at me

"I know this isn't exactly a five star hotel but how you doing?" I'm genuinely concerned for them I know they hurt many people, including evie but they was taking orders from Stuart and I think they kind of lost their way during the time they was with him. Loosing Samantha has hit them hard and I know theyre hurting.

"Like you said, it's not a five star stay but the food is okay, just wish we had some sort of entertainment"

"I can bring some books from the library if you want to?"

She gives me a weak smile "that would be great, I'll read anything. Thank you alpha"

"No worries. See you later" she nods and I walk to claras cell. The same as Mary, she's sat staring a wall..she looks up when I approach "alpha please listen to me. You have to let me out of here!"

"I'm sorry Clara but you know I can't. You've hurt too many people and you will be punished how ever the others see fit"

"Please alpha you don't understand!"

"That's enough Clara! I'm going to get Mary some books would you like a few?"

She sighs and looks down "That'll be great"

I finally make my way to Stuart. He's still tied up with silver cuffs, he's weak and a mess, his eyes are closed and he doesn't look at me when I walk in, the door slams shut behind me and he slowly opens his eyes. "Well hello there sunshine!"

I smile at him but he closes his eyes again. I punch him in his stomach and he grunts "no time for sleeping!" I punch him again "you get to rest when you're dead now wake up!" I punch him again. He stays quiet the only noise he makes is the grunt when I hit him

"You see Stuart. You've hurt alot of people in this pack and they all want a few minutes with you before I finally put you out of your misery, Carter is still resting right now but I know he can't wait to see you" I smile at him even though he isn't looking at me. "I'll get them to remove the cuffs tomorrow so you can gain a little strength before everyone says hello"

I punch him more time and walk back down the hall. As I pass Clara she shouts at me "please alpha! I need to talk to you!" I ignore her and continue walking to go and check on everyone. I decide to pop and see pam, I knock softly and walk in, she's in the hospital bed watching tv, she smiles at me and turns it off when I walk in "afternoon aplha"

"Hi pam, how you feeling?"

"I'm okay, a little sore, we've all been talking and think the best plan will be to banish Mary and Clara from the community completely, I've spoken to our senior memebrs and they've agreed to wipe their powers. They'll be here tomorrow"

Ive learnt that like wolves witch's have a council who are the strongest and have the most knowledge, mark and shuan explained they have the power to take a witches ability to do spells but they only do it in extreme cases or if a witch uses their power for evil. When they heard what Mary and Clara had done they agreed to do it.

"That's great, I've just seen them,.Clara keeps begging to talk to me but I don't know if i want to hear it. I don't want to hear her excuses"

"I think you should hear her out"

"Why? She's hurt so many people including my sisters mate and you"

"What has she got to loose or gain from talking to you alpha? Her fate is sealed and she knows that"

I think for a moment. Pam is right. No matter what she says, her fate is sealed. I won't kill her as a mark of respect for Samantha but she will loose everything including Stuart.

"Very true pam.  I'll hear what she has to say. We'll be doing Samantha's funeral Friday if you'll like to stay and attend"

"I would my dear but we need to get back as soon as possible. We've already been gone longer than we originally planned"

"That's okay, thank you again pam. If you need anything else let me know"

I smile and leave her to go back to the cells. "Ian, bring Clara to cell 4 on the east side"

I gather what she's got to say must be Important to her, I don't want Stuart having any influence on her or hear what we talk about so I decide to have a chat the other side of the cells that way he won't hear and won't be able to talk to her either.

I walk into the cells and sit down on one the chairs. A few minutes later the door opens and Clara walks in. Ian, Mia and Laura and close behind her, her hands are cuffed behind her back "alpha thank you for you seeing me" she nods as she walks in. Ian guides her to a chair a few feet away infront of me

"Thanks guys. Wait outside please"

"Yes alpha" they leave the room and close the door. She looks warn out and fed up

"So? What's so important?"  It doesn't matter what she says, like pam said her fate is sealed.
