Josh's pov.

"No you don't, go home jason" evie places a hand on his shoulder and he smacks her hand away and steps past her

"I challenge you josh walker to the title of alpha to your pack and for kayleigh to be my mate!"

Everyone gasps and I shrug "It'll be an easy challenge for me"

I take off my jacket and place it over a chair. Evie walks towards me

"Josh no! He isn't in the right mind!"

"Yes I am! Now will you accept?!" He shouts across the room

"Jason enough" kayleigh tries to step infront of him but his eyes are locked on mine

"Well?"

I smile "I accept"

"Josh no!!" They all scream at the same time.

Kai turns to jason "he's an alpha jason! You don't stand a chance! Just leave! It isn't worth it!"

"She's worth it. I love her" he turns and smiles at kayleigh and that's all it takes for me to loose it, my wolf pushes forward and within seconds I'm in my wolf form growling at him

"Oh goddess! Please no! " Kayleigh screams but jason shifts he's replaced by a big gray wolf but he's not as big as mine. His brown eyes are locked on me again

Evie sighs "fine. Take it outside! I'm not cleaning up in here!" Jason turns and follows evie, everyone else follows jason as if it would stop me from jumping him. We make it outside and the moon is bright

Evies stands between us "Right we'll do this properly. Jason you challenged josh for his title and mate"

he nods "josh you accept" I nod.

"Okay. If either of you don't submit you'll be killed. Understood" We nod

She takes a breath "good luck lads" she steps back and jason growls. I scan the people watching, evie and Shannon seem un bothered. I don't know if that gives me confidence or not. Mum is worried and kayleigh is crying. Kai and abi have blank expressions. I take a breath and step forward.

He follows my movements and we circle each other. I jump at him but he moves out the way, I guess I underestimated his speed. I catch myself and he jumps on me before I could steady myself and bites my shoulder. I whimper in pain and swipe my claws across his face. He shakes it off as it's nothing and charges at me, he manages to jump on me and get me on my back, he's snapping at my throat and I manage to bite his shoulder, he rolls off me and I quickly jump on him. He kicked me in stomach and I go skidding across the grass.

I quickly jump up as he chargers at me I run at him and skid on my belly, I lock my jaw onto his back leg and shake it. He scrams out in pain and I use this to jump him again. I bite down on to his neck

"submit" I mind link him

"I have nothing to loose!"

I press harder

"Stop! Stop it!!" Kayleigh starts screaming but I don't move

"Leave it kay!" Evie pulls her back.

"Don't make me jason. Please!"

"Fuck off josh. I'm not the first person you've killed and we all know i won't be the last!"

I press harder "I love you kayleigh" he mindlinks everyone and she starts crying

"Please stop!!"

I cant bare to see her cry, I let go and walk away to wards her. Jason suddenly jumps up jumps on my back, I land with a thud and he bites the side of my neck. I pull but he's got tight grip on my neck and when I pull it sends a shooting pain down the side of my neck into my shoulder. I fight against the pain and manage to turn my head and bite down on his arm that is in front of me but he doesn't let go.
