Kayleighs pov

A few hours later we finally arrive home. I let josh know were back safely and I'll call him later. As as we're out the car abi comes running out and slams into me. I hug her tightly "Goddess I've missed you!!" She mumers

She's smiling at us all. She hugs evie and Shannon before going back in side, me and evie get the bags, kai is in the hall way "welcome home guys! It's been too quiet without you"

He takes our bags upstairs and we head into the kitchen "ooohhhh something smells good!"  Shannon smiles at abi "what you got for us?"

"My signature garlic and herb chicken. Have a seat guys ill dish us"

5 minutes later we're sat at the table with our food. I take a bite of the chicken and moan "oh goddess! I've missed this"

Abi smiles and the conversation soons turns to the attack 

"We was so worried when kayleigh told us! Dad had to stop Eric from driving up there to you! He wanted to kill josh for getting you hurt"

My wolf stirs and I glare at abi "it wasn't joshs fault abi! I've already told you this!"

"Yeah but-"

Evie cuts her off "I will never blame josh for what happened. There was an attack so they could free the witch, I stepped in to help and got hurt. It's no ones fault"

"Yea but you shouldn't of stepped in evie! You nearly died"

Evie shrugs "so? You want me to stand back while my mates brother and pack was being attacked? Watch kayleighs mate die and put the family through another loss? No way abi! I will always protect the ones I love. You know that"

Abi looks down and starts pushing her food around her plate. She knows she's over stepped now

"I'm just glad you're okay alpha" she continues eating without looking at us

"I'm tired after the weeks advents. I'm going to chill" I excuse myself and head outside the front of the house. I light my cigarette and sigh.

"Hey!!" I hear George coming over. I smile up at him "Hey! How you been?"

"I'm great thank you, how's the leg?"

He comes over sits by me "Yeah it's alot better now, I still haven't shifted yet but my wolf is itching to get out!"

"Let's go then?" Hes got a big smile on his face "my wolf could do with a run"

I think about it for a moment. Doctor nick said its completely healed and I could shift soon I've just got to careful

"Let's do it"

We stand up and head to tree line. We go behind the trees and I take my clothes off before calling you wolf forward, my limbs starts to change and my leg burns and stings as I shift. I push through the pain and I'm soon in my wolf form. I trot out and see George

"How's the leg?" He mindlinks me, I stretch out "stings a little but should be good to go"

"We'll take it easy" I nod and we have a slow walk through the tress, it feels like forever since I've shifted. My wolf is breathing in the fresh air and I'm happy and content, we walk for around 15 minutes before we make our way to the clearing of the lake. George yipps at me and falls to his side and starts rolling around like a puppy. I laugh at his playful side, I lean down on my front paws and yip back at him, he jumps up and runs around me "let's run!"

I stand up at run down the field. He's soon catching up and jumps on my back, I land on the floor with a thud and roll him off, he lands on his back and I gently nip his ear before running off. We spend a good half hour running around and play fighting. My wolf is happy relaxed, she's enjoying playing with the pup. We make our way to the lake and lie down on the edge of the water. Looking at our reflections.
