Joshs pov

I have two weeks until kayleigh is due to come here, Carter and Emily have agreed to try living in the pack house but Emily wants to keep the house they have just incase they ever want to go back or just want time away which I completely understand.

"Right Come on then! Don't just stand there guys! Get this shit gone! " Emily shouts at us as she cleans the kitchen sides. Mum and Emily made a point of how dusty things have gotten due to the house not being lived in for so long and have now turned into a pack mission!

We have people cleaning, others are loading up vans to take all the old stuff that is broken while others are collecting the stuff that mum, Emily and kayleigh have ordered. Apparently the girls made a group chat and have completely planned everything! We're getting rid of the old sofas and having new ones being collected tomorrow. Mum is staying in her and dad's old room and wants nothing changed so we have a team in there deep cleaning everything. I'm taking the other ensuite and having my bed brought over, Emily and carter are having a new bed delivered as they'll keep theirs at the house. We've also planned to make olive her own little nursery for when she goes into her own room which Emily has all planned out. Once all that's done we've got people coming in to decorate for us as well as I'm shit at that stuff. Me and carter start carrying box's outside, they're throwing all out the old cleaning supplies etc

"Wow she's taken this seriously" Carter huffs as he throws the box into the back of his car

"It's good though. At least the house is slowly getting sorted" I throw another box in

"Want to have a beer?" He smiles at me

"Sounds good to me"

We finish loading the car and the house is finally clean and tidy, mum and Emily go shopping for anything we need, new bedding and curtains etc. I honestly wasn't listening. Me, Carter and a few of the pack sit in the pack house kitchen sipping a cold beer

"So when we getting our luna then alpha?" Ian smiles at me. They all know kayleigh is my mate and they're desperate to have their luna.

"She'll be here in two weeks but I'm not rushing her, she knows as soon as I mark her she will be the luna and that's a scarey thing but hopefully not long"

"How's shannon alpha? I didn't get to see her properly when she was last here" Laura asks me across the table. It's true not many of the pack got to see her as she spent alot of time in the hospital with evie

"She's doing well. She's now officially luna of her new pack and she's recently engaged" I smile at the pack, they all smile and I can see they're genuinely happy for her

"That's amazing! I'm so happy for her. After all the shit she went through she deserves nothing but the best" Laura was one of the trackers I sent to find chloe she knows what Shannon has been through and being a similar age she has alot of love and respect for shannon.

"You will be an uncle in no time then" Harrison smiles but Laura punches his arm, he quickly rubs it while scowling at her "what was that for!!"

"Harrison are you forgetting shannon is mated with a woman?" I raise my eye brow. He looks shocked and embarrassed

"Shit ! I completely forgot, sorry alpha I didn't mean to disrespect-"

I smile at him as I cut him off  "don't panic lad. It's fine but yes shannon is mated to alpha evie. Shannon wants kids one day but obviously being two woman it will be a long and hard road of either adoption or IVF. I personally haven't had that conversation with her as it's none of my business but what I do know is when ever or how ever they become parents that baby will be loved so much"
