Kayleighs pov
Abi has put the food into the hot trays to keep it all warm and set it in the middle of the table. Me and kai help set the table and mandy and josh have made everyone drinks. We all sit down and thank Abi before loading our plates with food. We would normally have a roast dinner but we decided not to do it this week.
"This is wonderful abi! Thank you!"
Mandy looks like she's in food heaven and we all smile at her. We all chat as we eat, 45 minutes later we're all done and we all help to tidy up and get the kitchen clean and sorted. After dinner we all decide to watch tv together and wait for shannon evie to come back.
8pm the door opens and we hear shannon shout "we're home!!!"
"We're in the lounge!" Abi shouts back, a short moment later they walk in and we all turn to say hi and then I see the big shiny daimand on shannons hand
"Holy shit!!" I scream which courses everyone else to look, shannon is stood holding her left hand out so everyone can see the ring, evie is stood with her arm around Shannon's shoulders and smiling brightly. Everyone rushes up to congratulate them.
"Well done evie!" I hug her tightly and she thanks me, eventually everyone sits down and Shannon shares the story of how evie proposed and we all sit and listen. I'm so happy for them both, they've been mated now for a few months and Shannon officially become luna 3 months ago and now they're engaged! I can't wait to see my big cousin get married. They're so perfect together.
"That'll be us one day" josh pops into my head as he places his hand on my knee and I can feel the heat spread to me cheeks
"I can't wait" I smile up at him.
"Sorry to call it an early night guys but me and evie are going to watch a film in bed and have some wine to celebrate" Shannon smiles and kisses evies cheek
"I think I'll do the same, well not the wine but a coffee. Anyone else like one?" Mandy stands and walks over to the coffee machine
"Yes please" me, josh, abi and kai say at the same time"
"Why did I ask?"Mandy laughs and I get up to help her.
"Night guys, love you" Shannon says as she walks out the room.
"Love you too" We all say in reply, I get 5 mugs down from the cupboard and pull out our favourite pods from the draw and start passing them to mandy one by one as she makes the drinks. Once done I pass them around. Abi and kai thank her and head to the lounge to watch their tv programmes. Mandy says goodnight and heads to her room
"I'm popping out before bed" I tell Josh as I grab my cigarettes and lighter
"no worries, want company?"
"If you want?"
"I'd rather not. It stinks" he scrunches his face up and gags, I roll my eyes "fine, I'll meet you upstairs"
He kisses my head and grabs his coffee and goes upstairs, I get my cardie on and shove my things into my pocket before grabbing my coffee, I sit down and place my coffee to the side and light my cigarette. I pick up the mug and wrap my hands around it thankful for the warmth, I take a sip and enjoy the silence before I hear a snap of a twig that catches my attention. A growl escapes my chest as I turn to my left, George steps out holding his hands up in a surrender position.
"Sorry. Only me"
"Fuck sake George! Didn't anyone tell you not to sneak up on us like that!!"
He slowly walks towards me "sorry. I didn't think. I've just been on a run"
