Anurag blinked repeatedly, trying to get up. His head pounded and his vision was slightly blurry. He groaned softly when he felt something soft brush his face. He sniffed and pushed aside the hair that was brushing his face. His eyes snapped open and he turned his head to find Priyanka typing something on her phone with a small frown on her face.

He sighed softly and glanced at her. If he were honest, he expected her to have been gone by now. No one wanted to deal with other people's problems or their fears and demons. "Whatever you're thinking, shut it down right now!" Priyanka whispered, continuing to type on her phone.

Anurag shook his head and pushed away the soft blanket draped over him. "Isn't it late? Why are you still here?" he asked, his voice slightly hoarse from sleeping.

"I wasn't going anywhere, Anurag. Besides it's only 7. I did have a few emails to answer which were easily taken care of." Priyanka replied and continued to type the last few lines of her blog. She proofread it quickly and posted it before locking her screen.

Anurag sighed, tilting his head as he cracked his neck. Rising to his feet, he extended his hand toward Priyanka. She smiled, grabbed his hand, and he pulled her to her feet.

He glanced at her beautiful brown eyes that always showed warmth. He had never been this open and vulnerable with anyone. He was still surprised that she had stayed back. She has always been so patient and loving towards him. "What happened?" Priyanka whispered bringing him out of his thoughts.

"I have to meet my parents along with Anurag at 8. They want to celebrate." She smiled softly and nodded.

"That's great. I forgot to congratulate you before. Congratulations Anurag! You are playing at the Olympics! I'm so happy and proud of you." She smiled and her eyes gleamed with happiness.

"Thank you!" He replied softly and brushed his thumb lightly against her cheek. Priyanka smiled and patted his arm.

"Are you feeling better now?" She asked, Anurag shrugged his shoulders and pulled his hand away from her cheek. He frowned and squeezed the back of his neck lightly.

"Look you don't have to ever pretend with me," Priyanka said, he swallowed the lump in his throat and shrugged his shoulder again.

"I kind of feel numb when I think about it right now. But I'm still angry, the pain comes and goes but isn't that what life is about, right?" He said and looked at her.

"I agree life isn't always fair but that doesn't mean we always look at the painful moments in our lives. No doubt they have in many ways shaped us into the people we are right now. But they don't have to control her always. They are a part of us but they don't own us. There are so many other things that have given you happiness right? Think about those things." Priyanka moved closer to him and tilted her head to look into his eyes.

"I'm sure your Ma would have been so happy and proud of you and Aarav." She whispered and cupped his cheek. She brushed her fingers lightly against his cheek and watched as his eyes fluttered closed for a moment. Just as she was about to pull away, he pressed her hand firmly against his cheek and opened his eyes.

"Thank you for everything that you have done for me today." Priyanka gave him a small smile shaking her head slowly she frowned at him.
