*Narrator's POV*

*Present Time*

After what seemed like the longest journey, Liu pulled up to a tall, worn out building. This area of the woods was pitch black, far away from the trail and the public eye. It was obvious why this building would be chosen as a meeting ground. why so many of these demonic creatures would come here, to the darkest parts of the woods, to plot against a group of people who wish to protect mankind. Where Liu knew The secret Circle weren't morally correct, they were a hell of a lot better than the thing that took his family from him.

Looking up to the sketchy building, Liu was filled with distaste, knowing that he would be in the same walls as a group of freaks. However, anywhere else wouldn't give him and Jeffrey the privacy they needed for what came next. Opening his car door, he stepped out and slammed it behind him before opening the back door and peering inside. Laying before him was the unconscious Jeff. To be honest, Liu was amazed that he hadn't woken up yet. Must have been quite the blow to the head.

The thought of it made him slightly cringe, sympathy bubbling up inside him. But yet again he had to remind himself that this thing was no longer his little brother. It was just a monster that took over his body and roams free. Killing as he likes, ruining lives like he had Liu's. He had to be stopped and as the older brother, that was Liu's burden to bear.

Shaking his Head of any more foolish thoughts, Liu wrapped an arm around Jeff's shoulders and another under his knees, lifting the man up and out of the vehicle. The man was a lot heavier than what Liu remembered. Liu stepped back and closed the door with his foot, careful not to lose his balance and grip. Taking a step forward, Jeff's head bobbed around, making his position look rather uncomfortable. However Liu didn't show any attention, just kept moving forward. That was until a small groan came from the man in his arms.

Glancing down to see if Jeff was coming to, Liu saw that he was still asleep, however his face was twisted in pain. Scanning the man, Liu didn't understand what was wrong until he saw blood seeping through Jeff's sweater, through the right sleeve where he grabbed him. Confused only at first, Liu was reminded of what June had said to him previously when he searched Jeff back at the house.

Apparently June had found what looked like a clumsily stitched up bullet wound. With Jeff being right handed, only having his left hand to sew it, he probably didn't do the stitching right. And with the pressure Liu was roughly apply to his arm, it must have reopened. With pain that bad he was shocked that Jeff wasn't waking up at all. But the fact that the killer was making noise and moving was a good sign that he would live long enough for what Liu had in store.

However, looking down at Jeff's face and seeing his brows furrowed and lips tremble made something in Liu's chest twist uncomfortably. In fact, he couldn't deny what this feeling was. It was the same feeling he got when Jeff was a child and he'd failed to protect him time and time again. And now looking down at this monster who shared the face of his little brother, the pain in his expression that Jeff would hide to spare everyone the worry.

It broke Liu's heart all over again to see it. Knowing that after all these years, all this time, he couldn't protect the one thing he valued most in this forsaken world. He failed. Frowning, Liu tightened his grip on Jeff before slowly leaning back, using his elbow to slightly guide his head closer to his body. Jeff's head rolled along Liu's arm, falling softly against the green eyed man's shoulder.
