*Your POV*
"Liu... Liu!" As he laid in my arms I tried shaking him awake but nothing I did was working. This was bad, I figured out that Liu might not be the killing type but something told me that Sully wasn't so kind. If he was the one who woke up then it would be game over for me and Jeff. Carefully searching Liu's face for any signs of being alert, he looked out cold. "Damn it!"
Carefully putting him down on the floor, the only thing I could do now was control what I could. Now that I'm coming to terms that these two morons just need to talk, I want to save Liu too but I needed to focus on saving Jeff first. I needed to wake him up before Sully woke up. Standing up, I turned to Jeff who miraculously was still asleep. Through all the ruckus I was sure that he would have been awake by now. The fact that he wasn't actually scared me.
Rushing to his side, I lean in front of him. His neck looked uncomfortable as he was slouched over in the chair. Reaching up, I move the hair that surrounded his face and gently placed it behind his ear. Some strands fell lose again, falling back into his face but at least I could get a good view of him. Despite the wounds he had previously, he looked alright.
Relief spread through my chest ever so slowly, as I reach my other hand up and moved the rest of his hair behind his other ear. Again, strands falling but there he was. I could feel something else bubbling up in my chest as I stared at his face. It was the same face as the man who ripped my whole world apart. But now that I'm looking at him...
Taking a hand, I hide his mouth and take a good look. Honestly, I thought this was a silly thing to do and that I was only looking for something that I'd long forgotten... But there he was. The longer I stared more memories of that night came to me, slowly piecing themselves together. I didn't remember everything, but I remember his hand, his gentle touch, his kindness, and...
"I remember..." Using my other hand, I touched the back of the hand that hid his mouth. It wasn't just him that wished he could steal me, I also wanted him to take me away. I wanted him to save me, all of these years. "And you kept your promise..." Tears weld in my eyes before I blinked them away quickly. Pulling away from Jeff, I stood up and went around him, undoing his ties. Marks were left on his wrists from where the ropes burned him. I swear I could feel those same burns on my heart.
As the ropes fell, he slid with them. Quickly, I wrapped my arms around him, holding him up. His head fell back and then rolled to his side, right into my chest. Gasping, I felt slightly embarrassed. But I didn't have time to act coy, I needed to get going. I'm not sure just how much longer this building has. Patting Jeff's face, I encouraged him to wake up.
"Jeff... Jeff!" I didn't want to be too loud, in fear that I might wake Sully but I knew whispering wouldn't get me anywhere. Shaking his shoulder, I tried a little louder. "Jeff... Jeff!"
"Fucker's out cold." Ripping my vision from Jeff, my eyes immediately land on Liu who slowly sat up, rubbing his head, seeming aggravated. However, something about him was off and I think I knew exactly why.
"L-Liu..?" Hope pounded in my ribcage as I carefully propped Jeff in the chair, my eyes never leaving Liu. Letting go of Jeff, I made my way to block him from his view.
"Now we both know you ain't that fucking stupid." Getting to his feet, I knew the moment his eyes met mine. There was something dark about them, they weren't glowing at all. Taking a deep breath, I couldn't be that surprised. I set myself up for disappointment.
"Sully." I could hear the spite clear in my own voice while I glared daggers at the puppeteer in front of me. The monster that orchestrated all of this.
"'Finally nice to meet you (Y/n)' is what I wish I could say but my little pawn just couldn't help but ruin my game." I felt my brows knit closer together as he referred to me as a pawn.
"Maybe next time you'll make one that everyone wants to play." Giggling to himself, I shivered at how demonic it sounded. Even his laugh belongs in containment.
"No one likes to play the same games I do. Even Liu got tired of them when that thing was about to be born." Sully sulked as he gestured towards Jeff, making me feel nauseous. I knew I couldn't get bigger than I was now, but I still couldn't help but try to cover more of Jeff with my body. I didn't even want him thinking about Jeff let alone pointing at him.
"That's because the games you want to play, you want them to revolve around you. You want to play God. You want Liu to only play with you. You're like a child and you're acting like Liu is your favorite toy." I spat back.
"But doesn't he act like one? " He chuckled, taking a step toward me.
"The Hell does that mean?" I was him wearily as I question his sanity. Despite my judgmental gaze, he only seemed amused.
"He believes in whatever I tell him, never going against my word." Giggling once more, this time he lightly jumped forward, landing on one leg. "I tell him to do something and he dances at my command! " Doing a little twirl, he almost looses his balance but manages to stay standing on his foot, using his arms as leverage.
"Liu isn't a toy, he's a person." I tried scolding the maniac, almost feeling foolish for trying. Yet my words seemed to make him halt before he tilted his head, like he honestly couldn't comprehend what I was saying.
"Of course he's my toy... All of you are." A grin that I swore could rip his stiches out spread across his face as he rested his other foot on the floor "And this wicked world is my board!" Reaching his arms out to either side of him, he purred. "And me and Liu are going to break everything!"
This man is truly fucking crazy... Unable to hide what I felt, I let my disgust show but that only seemed to please him as he came closer.
"It's such a shame (Y/n), I had so many plans for you, me and Liu. I thought you would have made a very pretty doll in my collection." He stood right in front of me, staring me down. But I refused to budge. "But then you had to go play the villain in my story." Growling, he raised above his head. Raising my own arms up in an attempt to block his strike, we both are made to freeze when we feel the concrete beneath us rumble. The floor was shifting and we could hear loud creaks coming from below.
We're out of time.
As another large shift disturbed the building, I took advantage of the situation. Annoyed that he got interrupted, Sully was distracted momentarily at the idea that the building was finally going down. Mustering up all my strength, I plants my hands on his chest and looked him dead in the eyes, as sincere as I could.
"It's not too late, Liu." And as I felt the floor cracking beneath our feet, I gave Sully one solid push. Both of us lost our balance, with Sully falling back and through a broken piece of concrete. I managed to stumble to Jeff, wrapping my arms tightly around him just as the floor gave in under us as well.
I felt stone slam against my body, wood and glass cut me open, fire lick at my skin but I never loosened my grip on Jeff. This time I would take him away from all of this. After all, it's not just the Prince's job to save the Princess.
