"Good news!" Shorty grinned. "We're losing fuel fast!"

"That's bad, right?" Emily yelled.

"No. It means we won't explode!"

"Shorty! How much fuel do we have?" Indy yelled. He had a full view of the volcanic valley below them and knew what happened when planes ran into mountains.

"Not enough to get home!"

"And that's bad..." Indy muttered.

"Unless we fall into the ocean first."

"Shorty, that would be very bad," Lizavet warned. She looked at Indy. "We could attempt to land at a KBG base... but I do not believe our reception would be welcome."

"Need directions!" Shorty yelled from the cockpit. "Would prefer an ocean or body of water! The landing is easier!"

"Got it!" Emily cried, giving coordinates.

"What's there?" Shorty asked, banking the plane at her directions. The engine rattled and droned, fighting its way through the ash and away from the firey hell pit that had once been the city of Diya.

"Attu Island. US Weather station and CIA listening post," Indy grinned, knowing the coordinates all too well.

Shorty eased the plane forward, revving the engine. "Ok, Em. Everyone hang onto their potatoes!"

The plane banked and shot by a mountain - the engine attempting to recover from the heat and pummeling of the volcanic eruption.

Indy squinted over the horizon. "Shorty - is that ocean?"

"Sure is, Dad!"

Indy laughed, threw his hat across the dashboard and rushed for Emily. He grabbed her in his arms like she was a child, picked her up and swung her around. "Littlest Artifact - we're going home! With the Seven Swords of Diya! And Shorty and Lizavet!"

Emily grinned at her father through sweat and pain. "Mom's still gonna kill you for not telling her where we went."

Indy saw his daughter's grimace and gently lowered her to the floor. "Yeah. I know. One problem at a time, hon."

Emily stared at the scar on Indy's chest. She hesitantly touched it. "I thought I lost you, Dad. Don't ever do that to me again!"

"No, Em. No. Treasure Guardian's a fine merciful supernatural being unlike any other I've ever encountered - but I hope I won't be going back to his realm anytime soon. Although I don't want to go to Diya ever again either."

"Agreed, Dad. I... I'd like you to stay around and... meet my kid."

"Do my best, Em. I'd love to meet them in person too."

Emily blinked. "In person? What do you mean?"

Indy grinned.

"Dad - what happened in the Unseen Realm? Besides you meeting the Treasure Guardian?"

Indy's grin got wider. "Em - your kids - are adorable."

"I know, Dad." Emily reflected her father's grin. Then she realized what he'd said. "Wait... KIDS? I only met one!"

Indy grinned. "Some things are better in natural time, Em."

Lizavet giggled.

"What do you know?" Indy asked Lizavet, his tone adoringly tender.

"I know the Treasure Guardian," Lizavet replied mysteriously. "And there's always more blessings with him in charge."

Indy smiled at his family. "Shorty! ETA on Attu?"

"Coming right up!"

"Unidentified aircraft!" The radio crackled.
