Indy looked at terrified little Emily. "Did you hear Momma?"
She squeaked as water flowed around them.
Indy heard the groan of the obelisk shift. Silt scraped at his body as the water quickly flowed by them. He clutched Emily tighter, lifting her out of the water. "Did you hear Momma?" He asked again.
"Y-yeah," she shuddered, sucking in air while trying not to cry.
"Stay still," Indy murmured. "We have to get to the other end of this tunnel."
"Past the big long rock?"
"Uh-huh."
"Is it gonna squish us?"
Indy paused, thinking of Marion. "No Littlest Artifact - your momma has an idea."
"Is it a good one?" Emily asked.
"It's probably better than mine," Indy replied.
"What's your idea, Daddy?"
Indy smiled at his scrappy, determined yet scared, adorable little girl, hoping to encourage her sense of adventure. "Don't know, Em - I'm makin' this up as I go."
She was silent against his chest.
It was not the reaction Indy was hoping for. "Hon?" He asked.
Emily shifted slightly, her voice littler than before. "Momma's idea is better. Whatever her idea is - its better."
