Indy and Marion crawled along the floor of the ancient treasure chamber.
"Emily!" Marion yelled.
There was a gurgling scream of desperation.
Marion dove toward the darkness.
Indy pulled her back. "No, Marion! Let me go."
"Are you crazy?" Marion struggled against him.
Indy took a chance and spun the wheel on his cigarette lighter.
The flame appeared, revealing a half finished obelisk, cracked midway down and supported only by a tiny partition of not yet chiseled rock.
Marion fought against his grip. He spun her and pointed. "That's underneath a half finished obelisk, Marion. It's probably collapsed where Em is too. You don't have the strength Marion..." he rubbed her arms. "You won't be able to move the rocks holding her in."
Marion's fury turned into a simmer.
Indy unbuckled his holster and handed Marion his whip and gun. "Keep those and the light. I'll be back... with our little girl." He kissed Marion on the forehead and scrambled into the narrow passage. "Emily! I'm coming!"
