Indy knelt on the floor, next to a pile of stones. "Ok, Em. I'm gonna roll these stones across the floor, see if I can't get more light. Run beside them. Count the columns and then let me know your count. I'll toss a rock and run next."

"Ok."

Indy rolled the first rock. Emily bolted, her hand out smacking the columns. "Twelve!"

Indy rolled the second rock, racing after it, nearly colliding with Emily.

"Which way from here?" He asked.

Emily looked around. "If we're right, and these are constellations..." she pointed ahead and off to the side. "That's the North Star."

"You sure about a turn?"

"Pinwheel Galaxy is spiral, Dad. A spiral - just like the symbol for the apkallu. And... the North Star, is associated with the bear... which Lizavet's people revere. It makes sense."

"Ok, hon. Love you. Trust your instincts." Indy rolled the roll forward across the floor.

Emily chased it, suddenly skidding to a stop.

Indy watched the stone fling into sudden darkness, dropping with a splash. "Em!?"

"It's six columns," Emily answered back. "I'm directly under the North Star. My sense was to stop here."

Indy threw a second stone. He rushed after rock and he collided with Emily's outstretched arm. "Oof! What was that for?"

"Wanted to make sure you stopped, Dad. There's a watery pit over there," She swallowed. "I can smell the water. Smells like it's got some oil and sulphur in it too."

Indy and Emily stared up at the ceiling.

"Ok," Indy murmured. "That's the North Star. We're underneath it. Now what?"

"A lot of cultures had a belief that the North Star helped souls escape into the afterlife," Emily answered. "I'm just not sure how that applies in this situation."

A trap door in the ceiling opened and a blinding light shone into their eyes. Edo stood above them, grinning menacingly. "Welcome to our inner sanctum, Dr. Jones and Dr. Jones."
