Lizavet shrieked an apkallu tried to claw through the doorway. A sword cut it down.
Indy stepped sideways, grabbed the sword from the Unseen Realm and slammed the supernatural doorway shut.
Shorty was stunned. "How did you know how to do that?"
"No idea, son," Indy replied, looking around. "Lizavet...?"
She was staring at her hands. "Are... are they burned?"
"And you just spent your last elixir on one of us," an apkallu taunted.
Lizavet swallowed, too afraid to retort. She clenched her fist, but couldn't handle the pain.
Shorty pulled her back. "Its ok, Lizavet. I have no idea what just happened. But you're ok."
Lizavet stared at Indy. "I'm so sorry." Then she dropped to her knees. "I... I'm so sorry. Please don't hurt me!"
"Lizavet," Indy murmured. "I love you. And I will not let these bastards hurt my daughters."
