"HEY, what is your name?"
"So awak budak baru?" Soal Tengku Aydeen lembut.
"I see. Tak apa lah kalau awak tak nak jawab soalan, Uncle. Uncle boleh pergi and i will not bother you here" Ucap Tengku Aydeen membuatkan kanak kanak lelaki itu terus berpaling ke arahnya.
"My name is Kevin" Kata budak lelaki itu menbuatkan perbuatan Tengku Aydeen termati.
"English only?"
"I can also speak Malay but not too much. I prefer English" balas budak lelaki itu lagi sebelum meneruskan kerja menggali lubang.
"May I know why you don't play with the others? Don't you like making friends?" Soal Tengku Aydeen membuatkan budak lelaki itu menggelengkan kepalanya laju.
" I'm afraid they don't like me. I am not a legitimate child" Balas kanak kanak lelaki itu membuatkan Tengku Aydeen mengerutkan dahinya.
" Why do you think they won't like you?" Soal Tengku Aydeen membuatkan budak lelaki hanya terdiam.
"Kevin, do you live for others? Do you live for people to see you looking perfect? You shouldn't care what people say, little guy" Lembut sahaja nada suara Tengku Aydeen kepada budak itu.
"But people will make all those things a laughing stock. I don't like to be laughed at" Balas budak lelaki itu.
"Do you know? no one sees our perfection because people will forever find fault with us. I want to send you just one message. If you want to live a happy life, you need to think about your happiness. If you keep hearing negative words from people. you will keep falling into their trap. Don't blame yourself if you were born as an illegitimate child. it's not your fault. I know you never asked to be born like that. Everyone wants to be born perfect but you have to believe, Everything that happens has its own reason. If no one loves you. try to love yourself. Don't keep cursing yourself because that will make you look weaker" Tangan budak lelaki itu digenggam erat. Terasa sejuk.
"I'm trying not to be sure, Uncle. I sometimes feel that I don't deserve to live. And about my parents, I don't know where they are now. Did they throw me out because they were disgusted with me?"
"If that's why they dumped you. They are the ones who are disgusted. They have no brain to think even though animals who doesn't had brain also love their children. Don't be sad about what happened. if they don't like you, you might as well hate them. You are human not a thing. Follow your heart. You were born perfect and I am sure you are a strong person right?" Ucap Tengku Aydeen sebelum dia mengusap lembut rambut budak lelaki itu.
"Thank you uncle..."
"Aydeen. Uncle Aydeen" Potong Tengku Aydeen sebelum dia terus bangun dari duduknya.
