A/N: Sorry for all of the TWST stories. I just have so much inspiration for them.
Y/N's POV
" Nggh....come on Y/N. Just 10,000 more sword swings then you can take a break." I said as I swung my sword. The other knights looked at me. " She's been going at it for hours." I heard one whisper. " No wonder she's the best. I hear she might be able to rival former General Lilia." Another said. My name is Y/N. I'm a fae living in the kingdom of Briar Valley. I was found by a baby by the current captain of the guard and he raised me as his daughter a protégé. I now serve as a member of the guard. With my skill and strength the others say I could rival the former general, General Lilia Vanrouge. " 9998, 9999, 10,000!" I said. I then placed my sword in it's hilt and took a breather. " Whew. Now to get something to eat then I'll go and run laps around the castle." I said as I started walking away.
But as i started to walk inside with the rest of the knights, one of the members of the queen's personal guard came out. " Is something the matter?" I asked the guard. " The queen wishes to speak with you Y/N." The guard said. Everyone knew that it would be death if you didn't follow a direct order from the Draconia clan it would mean death. So I nodded. " Lead the way." I said. The guard nodded and led me off to the throne room. We walked in silence until we reached the throne room. The guard then opened the door and I stepped inside. Sitting on the throne was none other than Queen Maleficia Draconia, the queen of Briar Valley and head of Clan Draconia. The light from the torches shined against her horns and her dragon tail rested comfortably behind her.
I knelt down on one knee and bowed. " My lady, you summoned me?" I asked. " Yes. Lift your head child." She said. I did so. " I have heard about you from your father and other soldiers in my arm. Your skill with a sword is unparalleled. You're control of magic is unlike any seen before. They say you might be able to rival Lilia with your skills." She said. " T-Thank you for the praise your majesty. I didn't expect to receive such praise from you." I said. " Hehe, I am more than a malevolent ruler my child. Anyways, I would like to tell you why I summoned you here today. I have a very important task for someone of your skill." She said. " A task?" I asked. " Yes." She said. My mind was trying to figure out what it was. Was it a solo mission? Do I have to take out an enemy threatening our homeland? I was getting all excited thinking about it.
" I would like you to be my grandson's personal guard." She said. My mind went blank. " Huh?" I asked. " You heard me. I would like you to be my grandson's personal guard." She said again.
" You want me to guard your grandson?" I asked. She nodded. " B-but isn't that more of a job for the Queen's guard? I'm a soldier not a guard." I said. " Are you defying a direct order from the head of the Draconia Clan and your Queen?" She asked. Her eyes narrowed and I felt a chill go down my spine. I bowed my head again. " I-I'm sorry. Thank you for giving me this task. I humbly accept it." I said. She smiled. " Very good. I will have you meet my grandson in the garden tomorrow afternoon." She said. " Yes, your majesty." I said.
Time Skip...
I made my way through the castle halls and out towards the garden. " Out of all the people in the army, why me? I should be out fighting not on guard duty." I said as I leaned up against a tree, waiting for Queen Maleficia and her grandson. The prince had always been sheltered in the castle. I had never met him before. I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard footsteps approaching. I turned to see the queen and immediately bowed to her. " Y/N I would like you to meet my grandson. This is Malleus Draconia. Malleus, this is Y/N. She will be your personal guard from now on." She said. I looked up and met the eyes of the prince. He looked so young. From the portraits hanging in the Great Hall, he looks exactly like his mother. I stood up and gave a short bow. " My prince." I said. " Fufu~ So you're the one my grandmother chose to be guarding me. I must say, from the stories I heard I expected you to be a lot older......and taller." He said.
