Y/N's POV

" Roast! Get back here young man! Stop crawling away from me!" I heard Affogato yell as he chased Roast around the room. Roast laughed and squealed happily as he crawled away from him. I chuckled at the sight and continued packing our bags. It's been around five months since Roast was born. He's become quite the energetic baby. He's at that phase where he crawls everywhere and gets into everything. One time we found him hiding inside of an armor stand. Currently we are packing for a trip. My father has business in the Vanilla Kingdom again and we asked to go with him. This would be the chance I finally meet Pure Vanil-I mean....my mother. I was nervous about this since I had only ever heard about Pure Vanilla through teh stories my father told me. Not to mention, I never knew he was my mother to begin with. But I know that having my family by my side will make everything better.

I soon heard a loud crash and turned to see that Affogato had fallen over a side table. Roast was just laughing. I shook my head and walked over to him. " Are you alright dear?" I asked as I helped him up. " I'm fine. But Roast is definitely your son." He said as we turned towards Roast. Roast just squealed happily. I walked over to Roast and picked him up. he squealed happily and snuggled into my arms. Both of us then heard a knock on our bedroom door and saw Crunchy Chip Cookie standing there. " We're all set to leave. Just waiting on you two." He said. Affogato quickly went to my side and hid behind me. " We'll be down in a minute. We just have to grab Roast's spare clothes." I said. Crunchy Chip nodded but I saw his gaze land on both Affogato and Roast. Roast let out a squeal of happiness and reached towards Crunchy Chip. But he just walked away, making Roast tear up a bit. I bounced him in my arms to comfort him. " It's okay baby. Don't cry." I said.

After Roast's birth, my father officially recognized Affogato as part of the family and made Roast an heir. Most of the cookies in the Kingdom took the news rather well but some didn't. One of those cookies were Crunchy Chip Cookie. He still sees Affogato as a threat and by extension, Roast. I thought Caramel Arrow would've been the one to still distrust Affogato but she trusts my father's judgement. " It's alright. He's gone."  said to Affogato. " Are you sure he should come with us? I'd feel better if he stayed here." He said. " I agree but it wasn't my decision. Caramel Arrow is currently elsewhere so he was the only other option to accompany us." I said. Affogato sighed. " Don't worry. he won't touch you or Roast. Now let's get going." I said. Some of the servants grabbed our bags and we headed out to meet my father. Once we were all together, we travelled to the Vanilla Kingdom. It took about two days of travel before we finally arrived at the Vanilla Kingdom. " Wow. This place is amazing." Affogato said as he looked at all of the buildings. " this is where I was born?" I asked, turning to my father. He nodded. " Yes. You were born in the castle a few hours before our final battle." He said. 

We walked for a but until we were greeted by a Cookie Known as Black Raisin Cookie. She escorted my father, Affogato, Roast, and I to where Pure Vanilla was while Crunchy Chip stayed behind to set up camp. We were led to this beautiful garden filled with White Lily flowers. In the middle of the garden was a small gazebo. Sitting at the table under the gazebo was none other than Pure Vanilla Cookie. My heart rate increased as I laid my eyes on him. Affogato sensed my tension and placed one of his hands in mine. " Pure Vanilla, I've brought Dark Cacao as you requested." Black Raisin said. Pure Vanilla turned to us and smiled. " Thank you my friend." He said with a soft smile. Black Raisin then left the room, leaving the five of us alone. Pure Vanilla got up from where he was sitting and walked over to Dark Cacao. My father hugged Pure Vanilla and then gave him a kiss. " My mate..." My father said. " My love. I am happy you've returned." Pure Vanilla said.
