Y/N's POV
I opened my eyes as the morning sun shown through the windows. I slowly sat up and stretched while my eyes adjusted. As I stretched, I felt the bed shift a bit on the other side. I looked down to see my mate, Affogato, fast asleep. His belly was already decently round with our child growing inside of it. I leaned forward and planted a kiss on his cheek. " Time to get up my love." I said. It's been about eight months since we found out Affogato was pregnant. Once my father regained consciousness, he assessed the situation and made his judgement accordingly. Affogato was allowed to stay but wasn't forgiven for his crimes. He would need to earn the forgiveness of everyone in the Kingdom before he got my father's. My father also demanded we get married immediately. It wasn't because he accepted our relationship. Heck I think he still thinks Affogato forced me into this.
The only reason he wanted us to get married was because he didn't want a bastard grandchild. When he told us that, I saw a flash of something in his eyes but didn't question it since he was angry. Once affogato felt better, the ceremony was planned and we were married. As expected, the people of our Kingdom were shocked that the Prince married a traitor. Caramel Arrow and Crunchy Chip were furious that they now had to bow to Affogato. everyone had thought he mated with me by force as a way to take the throne. i tried persuading them but I knew that only person they'd listen to was my father and he wasn't budging. So we decided not to tell them about our child until he was accepted. However, someone in the castle must've told someone who hates affogato since we've had a few poison scares with his food.
Thankfully, everything is going smoothly and Affogato is eight months pregnant. We should be expecting our little one to be born within the next two months. Affogato stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes slowly. He looked up at me and smiled. " Morning my love." He said . " Morning my love." I said. I leaned down and kissed him. He slowly sat up with my help. " I think someone else wants to say good morning too." He said as he rubbed his stomach. I smiled and put my hand on it. i could feel our baby moving. " Good morning my child." I said. I kissed Affogato's stomach. " You look so beautiful pregnant. It pleases me to know that you're carrying my pup my omega." I said. he smiled. " I'm happy to be carrying your pup too Alpha. Now shall we head down for breakfast?" He asked. I smiled and got out of bed. I went over to his side and picked him up in my arms. " I-I can walk fine on my own." He protested. " I know you can. But as your Alpha, it's my job to protect you and our pup. So I will be carrying you to breakfast." I said. He pouted knowing there was no winning with me.
I chuckled and carried him to the kitchen. Once we arrived, we saw my father eating his breakfast. He looked at us but then got up and left without saying a word. I sighed and placed Affogato in one of the chairs. I then took my seat next to him. " He still hasn't accepted any of this yet." Affogato said, referring to my father. " Yep. The old fool is as stubborn as ever." I said. " He hates me, doesn't he? He believes you deserve better." Affogato said. " he may believe that but i don't care. I love you and our unborn child. And while our marriage was sudden, I am happy we were able to tie the knot." I said. Affogato smiled but then placed a hand on his stomach and frowned. " What is he hates the baby?" He asked. My eyes widened. " He won't." I said. " But our baby has part of me in it. What if he hates it because of me?" Affogato asked. he began to tear up.
