Pierro's POV
Flashback
" Would you care for a drink Lord Harbinger?" A servant asked me. I huffed and took a drink from their tray. They quickly scurried off after that. I sighed and looked down at the liquid in my drink. I twirled the cup a couple of times before taking a sip. " Huh.....Mondstadt wine is much better than this." I said to myself. Tonight was the annual gathering of the Harbingers and Signora decided to host this year. I only came to this out of obligation. I'd rather be back at my home working on......something. " I suppose I'll have to make small talk with my fellow Harbingers to keep up appearances." I said to myself.
I put my glass down and walked off to find some of my colleagues. but as i walked around, I heard a loud crash and what sounded like a scream from Signora. I walked over to the source and found Signora standing in front of a servant. The servant had fallen and got wine all over her dress. " You stupid maid! This is the fourth time today you've broken something of mine." Signora said angrily. " I-I'm so sorry. I'll clean it up and-" She cut off the little maid by slapping her hard across the face. " You are such a useless, clumsy, awful maid. I should just kill you and be done with it." She said. " N-No please..." The little maid begged. She had tears forming in her eyes. " Why should I give you mercy? I believe these fine people would love to see some bloodshed." She said with a sadistic smirk.
But before she could strike down the little maid, I stopped her. " Huh?" Te little maid asked as she looked upon us. " Why are you stopping me?" Signora asked. " Do you want everyone to see you lose your temper over the smallest incident? Do you want everyone to see that you get angered by the simplest of things?" I asked. She growled and pulled her hand away from me. " What do you suggest I do then?" She asked. I smirked. " If you are willing to get rid of her, perhaps I could take her off your hands." I said. " You'd be willing to take her? I thought you despised the idea of having servants." She said. " My reasons are my own but I am willing to take her off of your hands." I said.
" Hmph. Fine. Take her and do what you want with her." Signora said. She then walked away. I turned to the frightened maid and walked over to her. She was completely terrified. " Are you okay my dear?" I asked as i brought my hand up to her face. She flinched and scooted away from me out of fear. " It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." I said as I placed my hand on her head. I tilted her head up and got a look at her bruise. " I'll have to bandage up any cuts on your body once we get home. You shouldn't have been treated like this." I said. I sighed and pulled her close to me. " I promise that i'll never hurt you like she did. You will be protected dear." I said. She started crying and held onto me tightly. " Shhh...you're safe. No one will ever harm you again." I said.
End of Flashback
" Um...Master Pierro? I've brought you some tea." Y/N said as she stepped into my study. I turned towards her and smiled. " Thank you my dear. You can put the tea over here." I said. She nodded and walked over next to me. She placed the tea on the desk and poured me a cup. " Mmm...it tastes wonderful my dear." I said. She smiled brightly. " Do you need anything else before I start on my other tasks?" She asked. " Only one thing..." I said. She chuckled and climbed onto my lap. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in for a soft kiss. After a few minutes we broke the kiss and placed our foreheads against each other. " Was that a good kiss master?" She asked. I chuckled. " Of course it was my dear." I said. I then picked her up and set her back on the ground. " Now I have some work to do. I'll see you when you're finished with your tasks." I said. She smiled and nodded. " Okay master." She said. She then left my study to continue her tasks.
