Dark Cacao's POV

"Mmm...." I moaned as I slowly turned on my side, away from the sunlight. I opened my eyes a bit when I felt a shift in the other side of the bed. I opened my eyes and smiled when I saw my beautiful wife Y/N, asleep next to me. It's been about two years Since I confessed my love for Y/N. we announced our engagement the day after we slept together. The cookies of the kingdom were surprised but welcomed our union with open arms. We were married a year later and it's been wonderful. Every day with Y/N has been absolutely wonderful. I propped myself up on one arm and gazed down at her. I pushed a piece of hair out of her face and gave her a small kiss on the cheek. Y/N stirred in her sleep. She opened her eyes and smiled at me. " Morning my love." I said. " Morning my love." She said sleepily. " Do you know what day it is today?" I asked. She smiled and snuggled close to my chest. " Yeah....Happy Anniversary." She said. " Happy Anniversary my beautiful wife." I said. Today marks one year since Y/N and I got married. To mark the occasion, we've been planning a small party. Hollyberry was the one who actually planned the event and we didn't know about it until she told us a couple of days ago. usually we don't host huge gatherings like this but we also knew that we couldn't deny her. 

So we decided to go along with it. As long as she doesn't shove drinks in my face the whole night, I'll be fine. " Are you ready for our party tonight?" I asked. " I'm excited for it. I'm surprised you let Hollyberry host one here." I said. " Once she has her mind set on something, it's hard to get her off of it." I said. Y/N laughed. " We should head down for breakfast. We don't want to keep the servants waiting." I said. " Just give me a minute. I'm going to wash my face." Y/N said. She got out of bed quickly and sped walk over to the bathroom.

Y/N's POV

I quickly shut the door and locked it. I walked over to the sink and ran the water at full blast. I made sure it was loud before turning to the toilet and throwing up. I wasn't aware of how much time had passed until I heard Cacao knock on the door. " Are you okay in there Y/N?" He asked. 
" Y-Yeah. Just needed to use the toilet." I said. Once I was finished throwing up, i wiped my mouth and rinsed it. I then walked over to the mirror and observed my appearance. I ran my hand over my stomach and sighed. " You are not making it easy to hide you." I said. I found out a month okay that I was pregnant and I haven't told Cacao. I was too scared to. I wasn't even sure if he wanted another child. was it too dangerous to have one because of the threat of Dark Enchantress Cookie? Am I even ready to be a mom? I hated hiding this from Cacao but I was too scared to tell him. I've been wearing clothes that hide my stomach as well as making sure he doesn't touch my stomach when he holds me. It's been hard but I've been managing it. I will tell him eventually but....when I'm ready to. 

I exited the bathroom and walked over to Cacao. " Sorry for taking to long. Shall we head to breakfast? I'm starving." I said. He smiled at me. " Of course." He said. We walked hand and hand to breakfast. We passed by a few servants who congratulated us on our anniversary. When we arrived, we took our seats at the table and the servants brought out our food. Since I was eating for two, I immediately began eating a lot. " Someone is hungry today." Cacao said. I immediately put the food down and wiped my mouth. " I-It was just so good I couldn't stop eating it." I said as an excuse. " You can eat as much as you want. I'm just happy to see you smile." He said. I blushed and looked down. " Cacao....there's something I have to tell you." I said as I placed my hand on my stomach. " What is it?" He asked. I took a breath and looked at him. " Cacao I'm-" But I stopped talking when a servant came in. " Your Majesty. One of the food shipments for tonight has just arrived and is awaiting your inspection." The servant said. " I'm sorry but I have to go. I don't want anyone getting poisoned from a contaminated food shipment." He said. He gave me a kiss and began walking away with the servant. " I will see you later my love." He said.
" See you later." I said. He left the room and I sighed. " I guess I'll have to keep you secret for a little longer." I said as I rubbed my stomach.

Time Skip...

All of the guests have arrived and the party was about to begin. The servants were dressing me in my ceremonial clothes so I could join Cacao. But there was one problem with the outfit. it required a belt around the waist. " Is it okay if I don't wear the belt? I ate a lot today and the waist area is feeling a bit tight." I said. " We can find a looser belt if you want." One of the servants said. " No belts at all please." I said. They looked at each other but nodded. As they put on the finishing touches, I felt a sudden wave of nausea. I quickly ran into the bathroom and started throwing up. They both came over to me. " Your Majesty, are you okay?" One of the servants asked. " Should we get a healer?" The other asked. " N-No I'm fine." I said. " You aren't fine. I'm going to get the King." One said. They got up and started walking out. " No don't!" I said. Both of the servants looked at me. I sighed. " I don't want him to know just yet." I said. " Know about what?" One of the servants asked. " I'm pregnant." I said. Both of their eyes widened in shock. " I haven't told Cacao yet. I'm not sure if I should." I said. They both looked at each other. " Your Majesty, you are carrying his second heir. He has to know." One of them said. " I know, I know. But I don't even know if he wants another child." I said. " Forgive my bluntness but....do you want a child?" One of them asked. I had never stopped to think about that. I've only been thinking about what Cacao would want and not what I want.

" Yes, I do. I do want a child. I want to be a mother. I never had a mother growing up. I want this child to have one." I said. " Then you should tell the King. He will understand your point of view." One of the servants said. I smiled and got up. " Okay. I'll tell him tonight after the party. Thank you two for talking to me." I said. They both bowed. I then walked out of the room and went to see Cacao. When I saw him, I immediately ran up to him and hugged him. " What has you so excited?" He asked. " I'm just really happy. Plus I have a surprise for you." I said. " A surprise?" He asked. " You'll have to wait until the party is over. Now, shall we go and see our guests?" I said with a smile. " We shall." He said. He extended me his arm and I took it. We walked into the main room and saw all of the kingdom's cookies, cookies from the Hollyberry Kingdom, and Golden Cheese Cookie with her cheese birds. Soon enough the party was in full swing. I still couldn't believe that the Dark Cacao Kingdom had such a huge gathering. I could tell some of the guards and warriors didn't know what to do but the people from the Hollyberry kingdom were helping them out. 

I decided to take a break from socializing and went to get some air outside. " Fresh air..." I said. 
" I had a feeling I'd find you out here." I heard someone say. I turned to see Cacao. I smiled at him as he walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. But then I suddenly felt him tense up and feel around my waist. " Y/N....are you....." He asked. I looked up at him and smiled. " Surprise~" I said. He stared at me in shock for a few moments but then pulled me into a heated kiss. " I love you." He said. " I love you too. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about the baby. I didn't know how you'd react. Please forgive me." I said. " You were worried I wouldn't be happy about this? Why?" He asked. " I-I didn't know if you wanted another kid after what happened with Choco. Not to mention the threat of the Beasts and Dark Enchantress Cookie. I was worried." I said I started tearing up a bit. " I understand why you had these doubts and I don't blame you for them. But I do want this child. And I will protect both them and you from all of the dangers of the world." He said. I wiped the tears away from my eyes and hugged him. " I love you." I said. " I love you too." He said. We then walked back inside, excited for what our future held.
