Y/N's POV
" Hold the line! Don't let any more of those Stormcloak bastards pass!" I said as I killed another Stormcloak soldier. " Y-Y/N, we can't hold out much longer!" Another soldier said. " Just hold out for a bit longer!" I said. I'm a member of the Imperial Legion and we're currently at war. The Jarl of Windhelm, Ulfrick Stormcloak, killed High King Torygg using the power of his voice and started a civil war. We've been able to keep the Stormcloaks at bay for a while but recently they've been having victories against our soldiers left and right. " Tch dammit!" I said. I sliced my way through more Stormcloaks. " I wish I didn't have to hold back. If I was allowed to use my true abilities I would've already killed Ulfric." I said. I sliced another Stormcloak and wiped the blood from my face. " Y/N!" I heard someone scream. I turned to see another soldier running towards me. " What's wrong?" I asked. " Ulfric killed Tullius. He's giving. speech in the courtyard and Elisif is there. I don't know what he's going to do to her." The soldier said. I felt something inside of me snap and I quickly ran towards the courtyard. " I have to get there. Screw keeping my abilities a secret!" I thought to myself.
Ulfric's POV
I walked out with Galmar into the courtyard to address my soldiers. My soldiers had already brought Elisif over to hear my speech. Galmar stood by my side. " I am Ulfric Stormcloak. The man at my side is Galmar my right hand. There are many out there that call us heroes and there are some who don't. But no matter what they say, you are all the true heroes! It was you who fought against a dying empire that stuck it's claws into our land, trying to drag us all down with it. It was you all that fought against the Thalmor and their puppets who would have us deny our gods and heritage. It was you who fought against the kin that didn't understand our cause, who weren't willing to pay the price for our freedom. But more than that, it was you all who fought for Skyrim, for our right to fight our own battles to return to our glorious traditions, to determine our future!" I said. The soldiers let out a victorious battle cry. " And it is for these reasons that i cannot accept the mantle of " High King". I won't accept it until the Moot declares that the title should adorn my shoulders. Only then will I I accept it!" I said.
" And what about Jarl Elisif?" A nearby soldier asked. I turned to where Elisif was and faced her. " Yes, what about the Lady Elisif? Will she put aside her personal hatred for me, and her misplaced love for the Emperor and his coin, so that the suffering of our people will end? Will she acknowledge that it is we Nords who will determine Skyrim's future? Will she swear fealty to me, so all may know that we are at peace, and a new day has dawned?" I asked. Elisif looked down. " I do." She said reluctantly. " Then it is settled. The Jarl will continue to rule Solitude, I will garrison armies here to ward off Imperial attempts to reclaim the city. And in due time, the Moot will meet, and settle the claim to High King once and for all!" I said. My soldiers let out another victory cry. " There is still much to do, and I need every able-bodied man and woman committed to rebuilding Skyrim. A great darkness is growing, and soon we will be called to fight it, on these shores or abroad. The Aldmeri Dominion may have defeated the Empire, but it has not defeated Skyrim!" I said. My soldiers let out a third cry of victory. But I heard another voice calling out in it. " Y/N no!" I heard Elisif say.
