Y/N's POV
I kept my head forward as I walked towards the Spire. This road, this scenery, this....air of nostalgia seemed so familiar to me. It feels as if I walked down this road hundreds of times, yet I can't remember a single one of them. Each step I took towards the Spire felt heavy. But I knew I had to keep walking forward. I could hear the whispers on the wind telling me to walk forward. I knew I couldn't turn back now. Soon enough I reached the foot of the Spire. I looked up to see it looming over me. " This is the.....Spire of Knowledge?" I thought to myself. " Well hello, hello there. Didn't expect to have a visitor today." I heard someone say. I lowered my head and saw a Cookie standing in front of me.
He was a bit on the taller side and had a bit of a bat motif going on. His dough was a shade of purple and he wore dark purple clothes. He had two dark purple earrings on his ears and had dark purple hair that was draped over one of his eyes. In his left hand was a staff that looked like a radio mic. " Do I....know you?" I asked. " Hahaha! Not yet my dear. But I'm hoping to know you. after all, no one has willing come to my Master's domain in quite some time." He said. " Your...Master's domain?" I asked. " Yes. The greatest playwright in all of Earthbread: Shadow Milk Cookie. I am his humble servant Black Sapphire Cookie. He asked me to welcome you to his domain." The cookie in front of me said. " Black Sapphire Cookie?" I asked. I felt a pain in my head. It was as if an old memory resurfaced. But I chose to push it down.
" Yes. That's my name. Don't wear it out darling." He said. I sighed and walked passed him. But then he came in front of me. " Na ah ah darling. No one goes where they please in this domain without Master Shadow Milk's approval. And since he hasn't approved of you walking around as you please, I will be guiding you during your time here." He said. I said nothing and kept walking. He followed close behind me. " So why did you come here?" He asked. " To seek knowledge." I said. " Knowledge? Hahaha! There hasn't been any knowledge here in a long time." He said. I stopped walking and looked at him. " This isn't the Spire of Knowledge?" I asked. " It used to be. But ever since my glorious master embraced deceit, it has been known as the Spire of Shadows or the Spire of Deceit." He said.
My eyes widened a bit but then I shook my head. " Doesn't matter. Something was calling me here so there must be something of value here." I said to myself. " What was that?" Black Sapphire asked. " Nothing." I said. I just kept walking and he followed close behind. " So....where is your master? I would like to speak with him." I said. " Oh he's very busy and doesn't have time for people who haven't embraced deceit. Maybe if you embrace deceit like me, you'd be able to meet him." He said with a smirk. " Who says I haven't." I said.
Black Sapphire's POV
I watched as this mysterious cookie walked away from me. " Who do they think they are? First walking around without a second thought. And then wanting to speak to master Shadow Milk Cookie? If he wasn't so interested in this mysterious cookie, I would've crumbled them by now." I thought to myself as I caught up with them. We continued our walk in silence. " It's getting late. Maybe you can continue your pursuit of knowledge tomorrow. Master Shadow Milk has prepared a room for you at the top of the Spire. I'll lead the way." I said. " Whatever." They said. I led them up the stairs of the Spire and to one of the rooms. " This will be your room while you remain here with us. I will come by and fetch you in the morning." I said. They said nothing and walked inside. " Tch, ungrateful brat." I said. I close the door and began walking away. " Who do they think they are? If only Master Shadow Milk Cookie didn't order me to turn them over to our side. " Come to think of it, why does he want them on our side? He's never met them before. Does he wish for more minions? He could just create more." I said. I then felt a pain in my head as an old memory resurfaced. It was brief but I saw the mysterious cookie in it.
