A/N: Omegaverse AU!
Y/N's POV
" Take that monster!" I said as I sliced a cake monster in half. I put my sword away and ran over to the villagers I saved. " Are you all okay?" I asked. They were scared but they looked alright. " Y-Yes. We're fine. Thank you my prince." One said. " Your welcome. Second Watcher, take these cookies to see a healer!" I said. " Yes, your highness." Second watcher said. They escorted the cookies to one of the guarded areas while I went to save more villagers. My name is Y/N Cookie,. I'm the second son of Dark Cacao Cookie and the second prince of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. But because of the events that happened with my older brother, I'm officially recognized as the heir. Even though my older brother turned away from the path of darkness, he did not return to the kingdom. Currently my father, King Dark Cacao Cookie, has taken a trip to the Vanilla Kingdom for a meeting with some of his old friends leaving me in charge if the Kingdom in his absence. The Wall is still being rebuilt but more monsters keep appearing. I enlisted the help of Second Watcher Cookie and some of the soldiers who stayed behind to protect the kingdom to help me deal with the monsters.
They've been attacking the nearby tribes and villages. Thankfully the number of attacks have dropped but not by a lot. Not to mention some of these monsters might be drawn in by the scent of omega pheromones. Around this time of year, most omegas start to experience their heat cycle. As an alpha, I could immediately pick out the scent of the pheromones when we entered the area. Since we're on a mission all of the alphas took suppressants so that they wouldn't fall victim to their urges. " Hyaa! Dammit, they just keep coming!" I said as I slashed another monster. " Help! Someone help me!" I heard someone say. I turned in the direction I heard the voice in and start running. I soon saw two cake monsters cornering a cookie. The cookie was badly injured and could barely sit up. I could see cuts on their body as well as jam coming out of them. " Hold on. I'll save you." I said. I quickly sprang into action and got the attention of the monsters. Once they were focused on me, I began fighting them. I took the first one down with ease but the second one was much tougher.
It ended up scratching me on the cheek with one of it's claws. I let out a primal growl and charged at the cake monster. In one swing I took it down. " That's what you get for scratching me." I said. I turned to where the wolves were attacking and saw the cookie laying in the snow. My eyes widened in fear as I ran over to them. " Hey, hey! Stay with me. You're gonna be alright." I said. I knelt down in the snow and turned the cookie over. My jam immediately started to boil when I laid eyes on the cookie. It was none other than my father's former advisor and the one who tried to take the throne from him: Affogato Cookie. He was badly injured and his eyes were barely staying open. I let out another growl. I had half a mind to leave him here to die. It's the least he deserves after what he did.
I was about to stand up and leave him but he gripped onto me. " Please.....don't leave....me..." he said weakly. With whatever strength he had left, he moved closer to me and took a deep breath. " Alpha...." He said. My eyes widened. " Is he an omega?" I thought to myself. " Your highness. There you are." I heard someone say. I turned to see Second Watcher approaching me. " We managed to chase off the rest of the monsters and the villagers are safe. The ones with injuries are being brought back to the Citadel for treatment." They said. They then looked down and saw Affogato. Their eyes widened. " Is that-" I cut them off. " Yes, and he's injured. We need to bring him back to the Citadel." I said. I took off my caper and wrapped it around Affogato to keep him warm. I then carefully maneuvered my arms around him and picked him up, careful not to hurt him.
