Y/N's POV
Flashback....
" You can't be serious." I said. The other members of Squad 13 looked at Alpha and Delta in shock. " That's crazy. Papa wouldn't do that, would he?" Zorome asked. " I can't believe it." Goro said. " It's true. Papa wishes to dispose of us. We have no use after all." Alpha said. After the battle with the Klaxosaur Princess, all of the 9's were killed except their leader, Alpha, and one of his subordinates, Delta. Because of their failure, Papa deemed them to be useless and ordered them to be disposed of. While we all started having doubts about Papa, I didn't think he'd do something like this. " We have to protect them. We should hide them here." Kokoro said. " Are you serious? Look they might be on Papa's bad side but I plan to live to see the future. Plus after everything they've done, they get what they deserve." I argued with her. " Y/N....you can't mean that." Miku said. " I do." I said. " I don't agree. It doesn't matter what they've done. They're still human." Kokoro said. " They aren't human Kokoro. They're clones, machines. I bet if they could, they'd find any way to get back into Papa's good favor." I said. Everyone was now silent, contemplating both sides. " Alright, we should put it to a vote." Mitsuru said. We all nodded in agreement. " All in favor of hiding the remaining 9's here raise your hand." He said. He, Kokoro, and some of the others raised their hands. " And those who are in favor of handing them over to Papa raise your hands." He said. Myself, along with Ikuno and some of the others raised our hands. But it was clear that Kokoro received the most votes. " Tch. Just don't come to me when you get in trouble with the adults." I said.
End of Flashback
It's been a few months since the final battle with VIRM and everything that went down with Zero Two and Hiro. The world is now safe and we're starting to form a nice little community. Kokoro gave birth to her child, Hiro and Zero Two are up in space fighting VIRM, and we finally found a nice plot of land to start farming on. Things have been going well. Except, the 9's are still here. After the battle in space, both Alpha's and Delta's bodies started shutting down. We tried medicine but they need maintenance. Personally, I don't care what happens to them. I still hate them and wish they died in space. " Food supplies are up despite the increase in people. If we keep going like this, we'll be able to set some aside for next year." I said as Goro and I went through the food supply. " I agree. But we should prioritize creating some more fields. I'm afraid of what might happen if we lose the fields again." He said. But before we could keep talking, Hachi approached us. " Y/N, may I speak with you for a minute?" He asked. I gave Goro my notes and followed Hachi out of the room. " Upon going through Papa's notes and what was left of his lab, we were able to recreate the blood cells the 9's need to survive. I was able to give a dose to Delta but for some reason Alpha won't take his unless you give it." He said. "What?" I asked in disbelief. " He said she wanted to talk to you but I'm not sure about what." Hachi said. " Hachi you know how I feel about them." I said. " Everyone deserves to live, even them." He said. I sighed. " Alright. But just this once." I said. I grabbed the equipment Hachi told me to grab and made my way to Alpha's room. " Hey, it's me Y/N. I'm coming in." I said as I opened the door. The room was pretty dark but I was able to see Alpha sitting on his bed. " Let's get this over with." I said as I walked over to him. " Oh, you actually came. I'm glad." He said with a small smile. " Tch, whatever. Just tell me how to do this." I said as I showed him the equipment. " It's five injections. It used to be more complex but Papa was working on making it more simpler. I guess you replicated his work." Alpha said. I opened up the case with the equipment and assembled the needle as Alpha instructed. " The first goes below the hair near the spine, the second in my arm, the third near my hear, the fourth near the bottom of my back, and the fifth on my upper thigh." Alpha said. He took off his shirt and turned his back to me. I then started giving him the injections.
