Y/N's POV

" Whew...that storm outside is rough." I said as I shut the window. It's been a few weeks since we returned from Beast Yeast. After the whole ordeal with Shadow Milk Cookie, Pure Vanilla went back to the Vanilla Kingdom to rest while Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and I headed back to the Cookie Kingdom. We all needed a rest after conquering the Spire of Shadows. Once Hollyberry returns from her expedition to Beast Yeast, Pure Vanilla will hold council in the Vanilla Kingdom to discuss the next course of action. But while we wait, he'll begin his search for the Beast Binding Ritual. If we find that, we can rebind the Beast Cookies so they won't be a threat anymore.

But for now, some relaxation is in order. I poured myself a nice cup of vanilla tea and sat down near the fireplace. I took a sip of my tea and sat back in my chair. I placed the tea on the table next the chair and grabbed a blanket. I wrapped it around me and opened up one of my many books to begin reading. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy. " Ahh....this is the life. Though, that storm outside seems to be getting rough." I said as I looked out at the storm. It has been stormy for the last few days. Today seems to be the worst of it. " At least it's not like the snowstorms in the Dark Cacao Kingdom. I'd take rain over snow any day of the week." I said. I chuckled a bit from my comment but immediately became sad. " I wonder if he ever found somewhere to belong." I said as I thought of someone I thought I knew.

I was suddenly knocked out of my thoughts when I heard a loud clap of thunder outside. I put my book down and walked over to the window. " I hope one of the trees didn't get struck. A fire wouldn't be good." I said as I looked out the window. However, when I looked out the window I saw a cookie on the ground near my garden. They were unconscious and getting drenched by the rain. " Oh no." I said. I put my shoes on quickly and grabbed my rain cloak. I then went out into the storm to bring the cookie inside so they could be safe. I was being drenched by the rain and flung about by the wind as I tried making my way over to the unconscious cookie. After trudging through the mud, wind, and rain, I finally reached the cookie. " Hey, hey! You're going to be okay." I said. I turned the cookie on their back to see who it was. But the moment I saw their face, my jam ran cold. It was Shadow Milk Cookie. " What the hell? What is he doing here? Why is he here? How is he even here?" I said. I noticed that he was barely breathing and that his dough was almost as cold as ice. If I didn't act fast, he would crumble.

But if I just let him crumble, some of our problems would be solved. He wouldn't be a threat to Earthbread or Pure Vanilla anymore. " I could just let him crumble and-" I was cut off when I felt a faint grip on my cloak. I looked down to see Shadow Milk gripping my cloak with all the remaining strength he had left. " Witches, I can't do this." I said. I picked him up and carried him inside. I laid him on the floor near the fire as I quickly changed into fresh clothes. I then grabbed some towels and went back over to him. I dried him off the best I could but I knew I couldn't do much while he was still in wet clothes. " Dammit." I said, knowing what I had to do. I took a breath to calm my nerves and started stripping him of his wet clothes. I tried my best not to stare at him or....look at anything while I did so. Once he was undress I covered him with the blanket and ran upstairs to grab him some fresh clothes. Since we looked to be the same size, I had a feeling he'd fit in my clothes. I grabbed a t-shirt and some sweat pants and ran back downstairs. I pulled the blanket off of him and quickly dressed him in my clothes. Once he was dressed, I carried him up the stairs to my room and laid him in my bed. I covered him with the blankets and made sure he was warming up.
