The morning sunlight seeped through the curtains of the Enhypen dorm, casting a warm glow over the quiet rooms. Well, almost quiet.
“Hyung! Where’s Sunoo?” Ni-ki’s voice echoed through the hallway as he poked his head into the kitchen.
“Not here,” Jake replied, lazily sipping his coffee. “He was still asleep when I checked.”
Ni-ki groaned. “I haven’t seen him all morning. I need my daily Sunoo-hyung hug, or I’m not going to survive practice!”
“Join the club,” Sunghoon said, walking in with a towel slung over his shoulder. “I was going to ask him to help me pick an outfit today. He’s the only one who gets my vibe.”
“You guys act like he’s the only person in this dorm,” Heeseung teased as he flipped through a magazine at the dining table.
“You mean he’s not?” Ni-ki shot back, making Jake snicker.
Jungwon emerged from his room, looking slightly frazzled. “What’s with all the noise? Sunoo’s probably still sleeping. Let him rest.”
“I agree,” Heeseung said, nodding. “He deserves some peace.”
A beat of silence.
“...So, should we wake him up?” Ni-ki asked, grinning mischievously.
“No,” Jungwon said firmly, though his resolve wavered when he noticed Sunghoon already heading toward Sunoo’s door.
“Too late,” Sunghoon said, sliding the door open slightly.
The others crowded behind him, peeking in to see Sunoo still bundled under his blanket, his hair sticking up in every direction. He looked peaceful, his soft breathing the only sound in the room.
“Aw, look at him,” Jake whispered, his voice full of fondness.
“We can’t disturb him like this,” Jungwon said, though he was already stepping inside.
Ni-ki followed, dropping to his knees beside Sunoo’s bed. “Sunoo-hyung, wake up! It’s already late!” he whispered—not so quietly—while poking Sunoo’s cheek.
Sunoo stirred, groaning softly. “Five more minutes…”
“Hyung,” Ni-ki pleaded, shaking his shoulder gently. “If you don’t get up, I’ll die. Seriously. No Sunoo, no life.”
Sunoo cracked one eye open, meeting Ni-ki’s dramatic pout. “You’re so clingy,” he mumbled, his voice raspy from sleep.
“That’s what makes me your favorite, right?” Ni-ki grinned.
“Don’t push it,” Jungwon muttered, helping Sunoo sit up.
“Why are all of you in my room?” Sunoo asked, blinking at the group hovering around him.
“We need our daily dose of you,” Jake said with a wink, handing Sunoo a glass of water.
“You’re our sunshine,” Heeseung added with a teasing smile, ruffling Sunoo’s hair.
“More like our energy source,” Sunghoon said, leaning against the wall. “Without you, this dorm falls apart.”
Sunoo laughed softly, his sleepiness fading as he looked at their eager faces. “You guys are so needy.”
“You love it,” Ni-ki said, throwing his arms around Sunoo in a bear hug.
“Okay, okay, give me a minute to wake up properly!” Sunoo said, laughing as the others started piling onto the bed one by one.
Jake was next, squeezing into the limited space. “We can’t start our day without you, Sunoo.”
Jungwon sighed but joined in, resting his head on Sunoo’s shoulder. “Fine, just for a few minutes.”
