It was a normal afternoon at Sunoo’s café, with the scent of freshly baked pastries filling the air and the soft hum of conversations from the customers. Sunghoon had just finished his work at the nearby bakery, where he was a chef, and decided to drop by Sunoo's café to check on him. He smiled, watching as Sunoo greeted the regulars, his charming and warm nature drawing people in.
However, as Sunghoon entered, his eyes immediately locked onto a man who was too close to Sunoo, leaning across the counter with a flirtatious grin on his face. Sunghoon's jaw clenched at the sight. He didn’t like this—didn’t like the way the man’s hand brushed against Sunoo’s as they exchanged a laugh.
He tried to hold his composure, but something inside him snapped. His eyes darkened with possessiveness, and he swiftly moved toward the door, disappearing into the alley outside.
Sunoo, oblivious to the situation unfolding, continued to serve his customers, his attention focused on his friends who had come to visit. He had no idea what was happening outside, where Sunghoon had cornered the man against the wall, his grip tightening around the collar of his shirt.
"You have two choices," Sunghoon’s voice was cold, a dangerous edge to his words. "You distance yourself from him... or you’ll be in the hospital."
The man froze, his face draining of color. He could see the seriousness in Sunghoon’s eyes and knew that there was no joking with the man before him. Sunghoon’s grip tightened, and the man hurriedly nodded, his heart pounding in his chest.
"I’ll stay away," the man stammered, quickly backing away.
Sunghoon released him, watching as he scurried off, but not before warning him again with a final, menacing glare. He waited a moment, ensuring the man didn’t come back, before heading back inside the café. His heartbeat was still racing, his mind clouded with thoughts of what could’ve happened if he hadn't intervened.
When Sunghoon stepped back into the café, he was greeted by Sunoo’s sweet smile. "Hoonie! You’re here!" Sunoo called out, his voice bright and unbothered.
Sunghoon softened instantly at the sight of his boyfriend, though his possessive side still simmered beneath the surface. "Yeah, just wanted to check on you." He moved closer, wrapping his arms around Sunoo’s waist possessively. "Is everything okay?"
Sunoo, still unaware of the tension that had just unfolded, smiled brightly at him. "Yeah, everything’s fine! Just a little busy with orders today, that’s all. I didn’t see you for a while, though. You okay?"
Sunghoon pressed a kiss to Sunoo’s forehead, breathing in the familiar scent of his hair. "I’m fine, as long as you’re safe," he murmured, his voice low and protective.
Sunoo chuckled softly, pulling away to continue his work. "You’re being silly again," he teased, completely oblivious to how close he had come to a situation that could’ve turned ugly.
