It was a regular afternoon at the ENHYPEN dorm, and the members had gathered to do a VLIVE for their fans. Jungwon, Sunghoon, and Sunoo were already setting up, while the others were getting ready behind the scenes. It was supposed to be a casual, fun live session—just them chatting with their beloved Engenes.
But Heeseung had a different plan in mind.
The camera was positioned, the lights were adjusted, and the members were all sitting in front of the screen, getting ready to start the stream. Sunoo was across from Heeseung, adjusting his hair and looking at his phone, seemingly unaware of the mischievous glint in Heeseung's eyes.
“Okay, guys,” Jungwon said, looking into the camera as he waved to their fans. “We’re live! Say hello, everyone!”
“Hello, Engenes!” Sunghoon said, giving a charming smile.
“Hey, Engenes!” Sunoo greeted cheerfully.
Heeseung, however, was not paying attention. Instead, he was giving Sunoo the most adoring look, his gaze soft and filled with affection. He couldn’t help himself; he wanted to say something, something that had been burning inside him for a while. He'd planned to hold off, but the moment felt right.
As the VLIVE continued, the members were interacting with the comments, answering questions, and joking around. Heeseung sat quietly, biting his lip, trying to hold back the urge to spill the beans. But Sunoo—his perfect, annoyingly cute boyfriend—was sitting right in front of him, unaware of the storm brewing inside Heeseung.
Finally, Heeseung could take it no longer.
“You know, Sunoo,” Heeseung started, his voice casual, but his eyes glimmered with mischief. “There’s something I’ve been wanting to tell our Engenes for a while.”
Sunoo glanced at him, blinking in confusion. “What is it, Hee?”
Heeseung cleared his throat, his heart racing as the words hovered on his tongue. He was this close to spilling everything when he suddenly caught a glimpse of Sunoo’s innocent smile and soft eyes. His resolve crumbled.
“Uh… nothing,” Heeseung quickly said, swallowing hard. “Forget it. It’s not important.”
Sunoo raised an eyebrow, giving Heeseung a curious look. “Are you sure? You look like you were about to say something really important.”
The other members were also eyeing Heeseung, who was now trying to act nonchalant, though his flushed cheeks betrayed him.
Jungwon leaned in. “Hyung, are you okay?”
Heeseung let out a nervous laugh. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” He glanced at Sunoo again, his gaze softening. “Totally fine…”
But just as Heeseung thought he had regained his composure, Sunoo shifted in his seat, leaning closer to the camera, and—of course—he looked even more adorable than before.
That was it. Heeseung snapped. Without thinking, he lunged forward and wrapped his arms around Sunoo’s shoulders, pulling him into a tight hug from behind. He buried his face into Sunoo’s neck, trying to hide the growing warmth on his cheeks.
The members immediately burst out laughing.
“What the heck, Heeseung?” Sunghoon laughed, clearly enjoying the chaos unfolding.
Sunoo, completely caught off guard, let out a soft squeal of surprise. “Hee! What are you doing?!”
“I—uh—I’m not doing anything,” Heeseung mumbled, his face hidden in Sunoo’s hair. “Nothing at all. Just… uh, hugging.”
