The soft hum of a camera’s shutter echoed through the practice room, breaking the silence that hung over the seven members of ENHYPEN. It was a rare break in their grueling schedule, and while most of them sprawled out on the couches or chatted amongst themselves, Jay had his usual companion in hand — his trusty camera.

It started as a hobby, a way to document their memories as trainees, but over the years, it had become something more personal. It became a way to capture the moments that mattered most, especially when it came to one person.

Jay adjusted the focus, letting his lens settle on the radiant figure sitting by the window. Sunoo sat cross-legged, the golden light from the setting sun kissing his flawless skin. He laughed at something Jungwon said, his eyes crinkling into crescents, his expression pure and infectious.

Jay couldn’t help but smile behind the camera. His sunshine. His muse.

“Hyung, again with the camera?” Niki teased, throwing a pillow Jay’s way. “Are you making a documentary or something?”

“Or a photo book dedicated to Sunoo,” Heeseung quipped, winking.

Jay rolled his eyes but didn’t deny it. “Can you blame me? Look at him.”

Sunoo turned at the sound of his name, his curiosity piqued. “What are you guys talking about?”

“Jay hyung’s obsession with you,” Jake said nonchalantly, earning a laugh from Sunghoon and an embarrassed groan from Jay.

“Yah! It’s called appreciation!” Jay defended, lowering his camera.

Sunoo tilted his head, feigning innocence. “Oh? Appreciation, huh? Let me see what you’ve taken.”

Jay hesitated, knowing full well that Sunoo would see dozens — if not hundreds — of photos of himself. Some were candid, like the way he always tucked his hair behind his ear, or the way he unconsciously pouted when he was focused. Others were staged, moments when Jay couldn’t resist asking Sunoo to model for him.

“Come on, hyung, don’t be shy,” Sunghoon teased, nudging Jay toward Sunoo.

Reluctantly, Jay handed over the camera. Sunoo scrolled through the images, his eyes widening slightly. “You… really take this many pictures of me?”

Jay scratched the back of his neck, his confidence faltering for once. “I—uh… yeah. I just think you’re photogenic. And… well, I like capturing moments with you in them.”

The room fell silent, the other members exchanging knowing smirks before deciding to give the pair some space. They shuffled out, leaving Jay and Sunoo alone.

Sunoo looked up, his cheeks dusted pink. “Jay…”

“Before you say anything,” Jay interrupted, his voice steady, “I don’t just take pictures of you because you’re beautiful, though you are. It’s because every time I see you, I’m reminded of why I keep going. You make everything brighter, even on the hardest days. You’re my sunshine, Sunoo.”

The words hung in the air, and Sunoo’s lips curved into a shy smile. He reached out, placing a hand on Jay’s. “I don’t know what to say, except… thank you. For seeing me like that. For making me feel special.”

“You are special,” Jay whispered, his eyes soft.

“Then keep taking pictures,” Sunoo said, his smile turning playful. “Because I’ll keep smiling just for you.”

Jay lifted the camera again, capturing the moment Sunoo leaned closer, their foreheads brushing. The click of the shutter marked the start of a new memory, one Jay would cherish forever.
