The Enhypen members were gathered in their practice room, their faces glowing with anticipation for the latest Enhypen O’Clock vlog. The theme? Learning self-defense. A professional trainer stood in the center, ready to teach them techniques to defend themselves.
“Alright, who’s up first?” Jake asked, eyes sparkling with excitement as he bounced on the balls of his feet.
The trainer grinned, gesturing for the group to come forward. “Let’s start with basic takedown techniques. Who wants to try?”
Jungwon eagerly volunteered, successfully attempting the move with a wide grin. One by one, the members tried their hand, some fumbling, others executing the moves with decent precision.
“Sunoo, it’s your turn!” Heeseung encouraged, giving him a supportive nudge.
Sunoo hesitated, his lips pressed into a thin line. “I’m not sure…”
Jay tilted his head, concern flickering in his eyes. “Darling, you’re a hapkido black belter. What are you scared of?”
The room grew quiet, all eyes on Sunoo as he looked down shyly. “I… I’m scared I might hurt my partner,” he admitted softly, his hands fiddling nervously.
The members melted at his honesty, their hearts collectively squeezing at how sweet he was.
“Sunoo,” the trainer said gently, “these techniques are designed to be practiced safely. You won’t hurt anyone, I promise.”
Sunoo nodded slowly, reassured. He stepped up, his determination shining through.
“Okay,” he said, taking a deep breath. “I’ll try.”
His first attempt was cautious, the grip light, the movements slow and deliberate. When his partner landed softly on the mat without a single wince, Sunoo’s confidence grew.
“Oh,” he said, a little smile forming. “That wasn’t so bad.”
The trainer smiled back. “You’ve got great form. Try adding a little more force this time.”
As if a switch flipped, Sunoo’s eyes sparkled with determination. His movements became sharper, his grip firmer. Within seconds, his partner was on the mat again—this time with a gasp of surprise at Sunoo’s precision.
“Wow,” Jungwon muttered. “Look at him go.”
“Of course,” Jake whispered, his gaze soft. “That’s our Sunoo.”
By the third round, Sunoo was fully immersed. His moves were fluid, almost effortless, as he executed each takedown with increasing speed and accuracy.
“That’s my sunshine,” Heeseung murmured, leaning against Jay, who looked equally smitten.
“Hyung’s enjoying this too much,” Niki teased, his voice filled with awe.
Sunghoon chuckled, unable to take his eyes off Sunoo. “How is he this adorable and scary at the same time?”
The trainer clapped his hands, visibly impressed. “You’re a natural!”
Sunoo beamed, his cheeks flushing at the praise. But what truly warmed him was the proud, love-struck gazes of his partners, each one completely whipped.
As the session ended, Sunoo joined the group, a little breathless but glowing with happiness. “How did I do?” he asked shyly.
Jay pulled him into a hug. “Darling, you were amazing.”
“You looked so cool!” Jungwon added, his grin wide.
“Yeah,” Sunghoon chimed in, smirking. “Remind me never to get on your bad side.”
