ENHYPEN had just arrived in the Philippines for their highly anticipated concert, and the members were thrilled. The tropical weather, the vibrant city, and most importantly, the enthusiastic fans made it feel like a dream. They had heard a lot about how dedicated their Filipino fans were, but nothing prepared them for what they saw at the merchandise booth.
As they walked backstage, they spotted the large display tables laden with official merch. T-shirts, posters, and towels, but there was one thing that immediately caught their attention. A huge section dedicated to Sunoo merchandise. It wasn’t just the usual official items, though. It was the fan-made goods—Sunoo-themed everything. Fans had gone all out, and the tables were filled with pictures, blankets, pins, and... ships.
"Sunoo x Everyone" was plastered across multiple items. The group paused in their tracks, their eyes widening.
Jake was the first to speak, pointing at a blanket with a photo of Sunoo and him in a casual yet intimate pose. The text beside it read “SUNJAKE” in big bold letters.
“Wait, is that us?” Jake asked, his face a mix of amusement and slight confusion.
Sunghoon leaned in, his face barely an inch from the blanket. “No way. They really went that far?” He looked up at Jake, his tone a bit sharp. “This isn’t too much, right?”
Jake blinked, his mind racing as he processed the image. “Uh... well, they are really into us, I guess? I mean, it’s cute, right?”
Sunghoon gritted his teeth, barely masking the possessiveness in his eyes. “I mean, cute? Sure... but why does it feel like someone’s taking my Sunoo away?”
“I swear, Sunghoon,” Jay snickered, his arms crossed. “It’s not like they’re actually together, but you’re acting like you just saw your person being claimed by another person.”
Sunghoon shot Jay a look but didn’t respond. Instead, he moved to the next display.
Sunghoon’s mood lightened when he spotted a set of keychains featuring Sunoo and himself together, labeled “SUNSUN.” The fans had taken their subtle chemistry and turned it into full-blown merchandise. Sunghoon chuckled, a bit relieved, but his grin didn’t go unnoticed by the others.
“Look at him. You’re in denial, huh?” Niki teased, nudging Sunghoon.
“I’m not in denial,” Sunghoon huffed, “I’m just... happy that they like it. But I’m not sharing him.”
Niki raised his eyebrows, laughing. “Yeah, right. Like you wouldn’t rip that blanket out of a fan’s hands if you saw them using it.”
“Do not start,” Sunghoon muttered, his eyes still glued to the keychain set.
Meanwhile, Heeseung was in front of a pile of merchandise featuring his own ship with Sunoo. There were posters, plushies, and even a pair of socks with Heeseung and Sunoo’s faces printed on them. One of the posters had them in an adorable pose, with the caption “HEESUN” in a fancy cursive font.
“Wait, hold on.” Heeseung’s voice trembled slightly, as he picked up a photo set. “This is... our merch?”
Jay leaned over, his face lighting up with amusement. “What’s wrong, Hee? Jealous of your own ship?”
Heeseung blinked, his eyes flicking between the various Sunoo ship items. “No! I— I just didn’t think they’d go this far...” His fingers traced the image of him and Sunoo in a cuddly pose. He swallowed. “I’m flattered. But... I’m also wondering if I need to go find all of these and buy them up before anyone else does.”
Jay laughed out loud. “You’re definitely a hypocrite. Look at you, getting protective over merch.”
“Shut up, Jay. This is mine!” Heeseung quickly grabbed a plushie with their faces on it and hugged it possessively.
