It was a typical day at the pet hospital that Sunoo owned, bustling with life as animals and their owners came and went. As the owner and head veterinarian, Sunoo had his hands full-checking up on a few animals, making sure the clinic ran smoothly, and offering comfort to anxious pet owners. Sunoo was good at his job, and he loved every second of it. But what he didn't expect was the constant attention he was getting from his husbands, especially today.
It was still early when Sunoo noticed a familiar black car pulling into the parking lot outside the clinic. He knew exactly who it was-Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Jungwon, and Niki. They always seemed to show up unannounced, and Sunoo knew exactly what that meant: the boys were jealous, again.
As he greeted a couple of patients with their pets, Heeseung entered the clinic, his eyes immediately scanning the room before settling on Sunoo. A soft sigh escaped his lips, and he made his way over, pulling Sunoo into a tight hug before he could say anything.
"You're just too pretty to be here," Heeseung said, his tone a mix of admiration and concern. "I'm getting tired of seeing you surrounded by all these people. I'm not the only one who notices, right?"
Sunoo chuckled, rolling his eyes at his husband's possessive nature. "Heeseung, this is my job. I love what I do, and people need me here."
But before he could finish, Jay walked in with his usual confident stride, arms crossed over his chest as he smirked at Sunoo. "I thought my problem was just the boys who frequent this clinic to hit on you," Jay began, his tone teasing yet protective. "But now I'm seeing that even girls come here to flirt with you. Can't they leave our husband alone?"
Jake, ever the straightforward one, appeared behind Jay, arms on his hips as he quirked an eyebrow at Sunoo. "Is it us against the world when it comes to you?" he asked, his voice low but affectionate. "You know I'd love to stay and make sure no one gets too close to you, but we can't all be here all the time, can we?"
Sunoo let out a soft laugh, feeling both loved and slightly overwhelmed by the attention. He glanced at Jungwon, who was standing by the door with a small frown on his face. Jungwon had a way of being calm and composed, but the protectiveness in his eyes was clear as he glanced around the clinic.
"Can't they leave our husband alone?" Jungwon asked, more out of frustration than anger. "It's hard enough when it's just the guys, but the girls too? It's getting ridiculous."
Sunoo chuckled and pulled away from Heeseung's embrace, turning to face the boys. "I promise, nothing's going on here. I'm just doing my job." He smiled at them, reaching for Heeseung's hand. "But I appreciate you all being so protective. You know I'm yours, right?"
The husbands didn't seem entirely convinced, though. Heeseung stepped forward again, his gaze soft but still intense. "It's just... everyone admires you, Sunoo," he said. "You're so kind and beautiful. I just can't help but worry."
Jay nodded, his usual playful demeanor softening as he placed a hand on Sunoo's shoulder. "We know you're loyal to us. But it's hard, sometimes, to see how everyone looks at you. Especially when they flirt like they don't even care."
Jake stepped closer, giving Sunoo a cheeky grin. "We don't want to scare anyone off, but you're ours. No one needs to get too friendly with you."
Jungwon, always the one to try and keep things calm, placed a hand on Sunoo's other shoulder. "We just want you to be safe," he said with a soft sigh. "No one should make you uncomfortable, and if they do, we'll be here to protect you."
Sunoo's heart fluttered at the protective yet tender words of his husbands. He was truly lucky to have them, even if their jealousy sometimes caused a bit of chaos.
