PEARL'S P.O.V
I stepped out in a red mini skirt with it's matching cropped blazer jacket and a little silver bag. "No Kourtney, I want the...yes silver! Did you get the band?" I Inquired as I got into the car.
"Kourtney, get the band! Tell Bethany to pick up the dress from Stefano" I then paused as she talked, "oh wait... Kourtney I'm getting another call. Yeah, talk later"
She ended the call and I answered my Mom. "Good morning, Mom"
"I want you at Meadow right now" she stated, "what? The cafe—" Before I could finish, she ended the call.
Here we go again, why does she keep doing this?
I sighed and leaned back on the seat, "Jeffrey, we are heading to Meadow, the cafe" I informed and he drove out.
I sighed and glanced out the window, it was Saturday and I really just wanted to go to the office and do nothing but not meet up with my Mom.
But here we were, I was gonna have all the pressure in the world right this moment. We arrived there after few minutes and I got out and headed in.
I wonder what she wanted.
"Good morning, Mother" I greeted once I got to the table, she sipped the tea silently and I knew I had to take my seat.
I looked up at her and she gently placed down the mug. "Order something"
"I'm good, I was heading to work" I replied, crossing my leg over the other. She stared straight at me before taking off her glasses, "how's Travis doing?" She inquired.
"He's doing fine"
"And you?" I doubt that she cares, "As you can see" I replied and she went back sipping her tea again, "Mom, what's really the point of this meeting? It's too early"
"It's almost 2 months, Pearl since you got married to Travis..." She began. "I know that"
"Any changes?" She inquired and I shot her a confused look, "I told you everything you needed to know about... getting it done" she began.
Oh my gosh!
"What is the problem? I don't see any signs" she pestered.
"There is no problem and we've talked about this, Mom. It's just been 2 months"
"How long do you need to make a child?!" She exclaimed and I glanced around at the people with us in the cafe. "Mom..."
"You should be pregnant by now"
"Is that why you called me?" I asked in disbelief, "why else would I need you?" She asked and then hissed. " Don't you think Travis will need an heir? Who is gonna inherit the Ferrari's fortune? Talk to me right now, what is the problem?"
I stared at her, this was actually troubling her, for once my mother was worried about... something that concerned me.
Maybe I could play this game, since telling her nothing was not enough and it wasn't getting her off my back.
So...what if something was wrong?
"There is something..." I began, leaning on the table and that piqued her interest immediately. "... what is it?"
"I really don't find...it appealing"
"What?"
"The act isn't... fulfilling"
"Why? Doesn't Travis-"
"Oh, he's really good, I just don't...enjoy it" I admitted. "Well, what's wrong?"
