TRAVIS'S P.O.V

"Trent has been in LA ever since, there's a convention this evening. He sent an invite, I don't know what he's playing at, Travis, but I've been keeping an eye on him"

"Thank you, Abel"

"You told me to look into Aiden Miller"

"And?"

"He is a member of the Society" I paused and looked up. "He might show up today, he's a slippery guy. He can't be trusted"

"I know that" I replied. "Anything else?"

"I'll get back to you when there is" with that I ended the call and took a gulp of the drink. I knew that bastard couldn't be trusted, what does he want from her?

I have to dig this up, I have to attend the convention.

A message dropped in from Adrian, reminding me I had to catch a flight to Washington today.

I placed down the glass and got up, walking to the window, I put on the black blazer unto the blue ensemble, before inserting the ring on my finger.

I grabbed the suitcase and headed out of the study, I needed a smoke. I walked down the hallway, my phone ringing in my blazer pocket.

I stopped and pulled it out, it was Adrian. I answered and he went straight to business.

I paused when I heard a groan coming from her room, I turned to the door and heard clattering. "... I'm on my way" I ended the call and walked towards the door.

I heard her groan, so I reached for the door knob. I stopped myself, what would be my reason if nothing was wrong?

I moved away and immediately the door was pulled open and there she stood, she straightened up once she saw me. "What?" She spat, irritation in her tone.

I moved away and she stepped out fully, I noticed she had her hand on the lower part of her stomach. "Is everything okay?"

"Why do you care?"

She was snappy this morning, something was up. She shut her eyes for a brief second, groaning a little, she wouldn't tell me what it was, "shouldn't you be heading out?"

"I was about to" I replied.

She sighed and walked past me, walking down the stairs. I was right behind her, she winced once in a while. "Good morning, Mr and Mrs Ferrari, breakfast is—"

"Don't worry Evelyn, I'll grab some warm water to go" she replied. "Okay" Evelyn walked out and she turned back to me and shot me a look.

Probably wondering why I wasn't leaving.

I headed out to the car, Williams pulled the door open for me but I paused and turned back to the house.

I knew how stubborn she was, even if something was wrong, she would never tell.

I lingered at that spot waiting, she finally got out, sipping from a can. I watched her walk to her car as Jeffrey waited for her. She stopped half away, hands over her stomach. That's it!

"Jeffrey, I'll take her" I called out, walking to them. Her gaze shot to me, "What?!"

I grabbed her hand and began pulling her to my car. "What are you doing? Where are we going, Travis?!" She questioned.

I took the keys from Williams and led her into the passengers seat before I took the driver's seat.

"Travis!"

"We are going to the hospital!" I replied, shoving the keys into the ignition. "The hospital. Fuck!!!" She cursed, hands over her abdomen.

I drove out of the surrounding. "I have to be at work! Why the hospital?!" She yelled, wrangling in the seat.
