It was a quiet day at the office and everyone understood that and kept to it, I signed on the papers and handed it to Kourtney. "The clients are in the meeting room" she informed
"I'll be there in a moment" I replied and she nodded before heading out.
I shut the file on the desk and got up before grabbing the rest and heading out. It's Tuesday and as you can see I was back to doing what I do best.
I pushed the door open to the meeting room and pushed out a smile. It was a bunch of ladies in the waiting room, "Good day everyone" I greeted and they responded in unison.
I took my seat at the table, desperately searching amongst them who the bride was and where the groom was.
"We have heard a lot about your work, Mrs Vega. I love everyone of them" the first lady said. "Thank you very much, you must be the bride, I presume"
"No, I'm the sister in law"
"Oh and you must be..." I turned to the one beside her and she laughed, "No, I'm the Auntie but it's sweet you think I'm the bride"
"Okay, are you the-"
"I'm already married" the next showed me the ring in her finger and I turned to the next person, I was certain this wasn't the bride, she was older and didn't have a smile on her face. "I'm the mother in law, she's the bride"
She referred to the lady at the end, she lightly waved with a little smile on her lips, I would have never thought. "Hi, I'm Quinn"
"I hear you're the best event planner in the country " the mother in law began. "So, I've heard too. So, have a date been fixed for the wedding?"
"It's on the 6 of next month" Abigail answered, "Alright, what are the plans?"
"Nothing serious, just a simple wedding" The Auntie answered and I glanced at the bride, she hasn't gotten a word in. "And where is Mr-"
"Mr Nelson is busy at the moment, that's why we are here" the mother in law answered again and I turned to the bride, she still maintained her smile.
I understood the situation very well, infact I've been in it, remember how my whole wedding plan got hijacked by family? Hers was the same but she actually seem like she wanna be involved a little.
"Alright Mrs Nelson, what should we begin with first, have a caterer been decided?" I directed this one to her. "Yes, we have. The same one who I used for my wedding will be used for hers" the married one answered.
Can't they catch a break?
"Alright, have a venue been picked?" I asked, taking it all down. "The same location as hers" the mother answered and they all nodded.
"Is it gonna be a dj or a band?"
"Definitely a DJ" Abigail answered excitedly and I sucked in a breath and looked up at them. "What about the dress? Have that been picked out yet?" I inquired
"She will infact be wearing the same dress as I did on my wedding, it's also the same one she used for hers, it has been passed down from genera-"
"No!" I ended it all. "What do you mean-"
"No, I disagree. Mrs Nelson, have you made a choice for the dress?" I asked her and she stuttered, glancing at them.
"I mean, I would...it wouldn't hurt to browse around just a-"
"That won't be necessary" the mother in law cut her off, "Then it's settled, tomorrow we'll go out for the dress shopping " I stated.
"I think you didn't hear what I said, she will be wearing the same dress as i-"
