I laid immovable on the bed, just staring at the familiar ceiling. My phone has been ringing on the side table, I knew who was calling and I didn't bother answering.
I had this pounding headache as expected, it was from all the drinking and smoking yesterday.
I sighed and sat up and looked round the room, I was alone on the bed, the sun shining in from my window.
I glanced at the time, it was past 8 am. I heard voices so I turned to the window.
I slowly got up and walked to it, I opened the curtains and let out a low sigh. The sun was too bright to my liking.
I looked down to see Travis by his car, he was on the phone with his suitcase in his other hand. He was in a dark red suit that was tailored made for him.
He ended the call and the door of the car was pulled open. He put the phone in his blazer jacket and looked up—at my window.
I'm certain he couldn't see me.
But he did linger staring before proceeding to get into the car and driving out. I then walked back in and sat on the bed, my phone began ringing again, it was Kourtney calling.
I ignored it and walked to the bathroom but then there was a knock on the door. I paused and walked to it.
Pulling it open, there was Evelyn. She had a tray in her hand. "Good morning, Pearl. I brought breakfast"
"I didn't ask for breakfast, Evelyn"
"I brought you some medicine for the headache, Mr Ferrari said you'll be needing them this morning" she added and I paused.
"Drop the medications but take breakfast, I don't need it" I ordered before heading to the bathroom.
Moments later.
I walked back into the room and paused when I saw the breakfast tray on my side table with the Advil.
Didn't she hear a word I said?
I took the drugs and went back to bed, I picked up my laptop to get some work done. I didn't feel like going anywhere or doing anything today.
One thing I hate about getting drunk is the fact I wouldn't have a memory of what transpired.
It happens everytime, like what the hell could I have talked about with Travis?
I do remember stirring topics of what it would be like when we divorce but after that, everything else was a blur.
I hissed and looked up, what exactly happened yesterday?
This is gonna bother me for a while. My phone began ringing again, I took it and turned it off. Today, was gonna be an indoors day.

I totally zoned out and was just staring at my laptop without doing any work. The whole altercation yesterday replaying in my head.
That has cement it all—everything with my mother.
The door immediately burst open and my eyes shot up, my laptop almost falling down my lap. "Why aren't you answering your phone?!" She exclaimed.
My eyes were wide as saucers. "What the fuck?!"
"What happened?" Kourtney fired, walking in fully. "You just broke my door" I answered, pointing at it.
"Did your phone die?" She asked, picking it from the table.
"I turned it off"
"Why did you turn it off? Aren't you coming to the office today?"
