This morning, I stepped out all in a brown ensemble. I wore a brown mini skirt with an A cut at the front and it's matching cropped blazer jacket. My hair straightened and I topped it off with red bottoms.
Abel opened the car and I stepped in, you should know I mean business this morning. I placed the brown envelope beside and crossed my leg over the other.
If you haven't already gleaned, I was gonna pay my dear husband a visit, we needed to talk.
The ride lasted 10 minutes, the door was pulled open and I stepped out and took in the place. "Wait here" I ordered Abel before heading inside.
"Good morning, Mrs Ferrari" The receptionist appeared in front of me. I only shot her a nod and headed to the elevator. The people already inside, saw me taking those purposeful strides towards it and they immediately got out.
I stepped in and tapped the button. The ride ended and I got out and headed to the office. There were 2 men posted at the door, I stopped in front of them and they exchanged looks before gently opening the door.
Voices flooded out and when I stepped in, I figured out why. There was a full house in here. He seemed to be in a meeting with a group of men, sitting all around the table.
His eyes settled on me. "Gentlemen, we are adjourned" he stated and they all understood and rose up. I walked in fully, taking in the room.
Soon as I heard the door shut close, I headed to his desk, he had settled down on his seat. Dropping the envelope on the table, he glanced down at it.
"Hope it has all been signed" he said, picking it up. "Not even in your wildest dream" I answered and he slammed it down on the table and his gaze shot up to me.
"What is your problem, Pearl?"
"My problem is you're being such a coward. And this lays more emphasis on when I said, if it was Trent who came to me with this deal, I would have accepted without all those drama"
He got up immediately.
"Yeah, I said what I said. At least, he wouldn't back out without a reason"
"Here is a reason, you will get hurt"
"Compared to what I get from you everyday, I'll be fine " I shrugged it off. "Must you make every shit difficult? You never wanted to do this—"
"And you forced me! You threatened me! You literally blackmailed me!" I lashed. "And all that will be settled if you sign this damn papers" he dictated.
"What? You are letting me off with just a couple millions?" I asked.
"Is the payment the problem?"
"I wish it was, I really wish it was. But you'll still be bigger than it. As much as I hate doing this shit with you, I'm not letting all this work go to waste by you giving it all to Trent!" I stated and he stared, knowing I wasn't backing down.
There was few seconds of silence before he said, "Take these papers and leave, Pearl. We are not doing this again"
"What? We are not kissing again?" I questioned, taking a step closer to him and a smirk crept up his lips. "We could do that again" he quipped.
Gosh, he's such an asshole.
There was a knock and the door was pulled open. Erica stepped in, of course, this bitch. Her gaze shot to the both of us, what was she doing here?
"Perhaps you should go hard on me, after all that's the way you got me to accept the first time" I reminded. "We are playing this game again?" He asked and I smiled.
