"Bella, you should have just told me to go shopping for you" I said to her over the phone. "Come on Pearl, it's just sauce. Be fast though, I need it for the meal"

I sighed. "There's a bazillion Rich sauces here"

"The red one. Pearl come on, I'm waiting!" She yelled and I sighed and grabbed it before ending the call and heading to the cashier, after cashing it out, I headed out.

It was Wednesday. The Stellar Awards was drawing near, it was next week Saturday.

That's why I didn't have the time to be shopping for Bella but here I was. I got into my car and drove out, heading to her house.

Travis wasn't yet back from Washington, I guess he'll be residing at Alpha 3 for a while. You see why this week was great? We both haven't had a banter in a while.

Moments later, I was pulling up in her driveway, I got out the car.

Today I wore a baggy jean and a matching denim crop, my hair in a ponytail.

"Bella!" I called out. "In here!" She answered from the kitchen and I walked in, the aroma of her dish filling the air.

I handed her the bag. "Thank you, thank you, thank you" she appreciated and I rolled my eyes. "I'm not doing this again"

"You're a life saver! I can't make my special sauce without this. I would have gone to the grocery shop but I can't, I can't leave the meal unattended"

"Yeah" I replied flatly.

She added it to the meal while I went to take a seat. "That's why you're my sister" she drawled, coming to pull me into a hug.

"Go cook your food, Bella" I urged and she went back stirring. "You should join us for lunch, Derrick will be dropping by from the office"

"I can't, I have to head back to work. There's a lot to do" I replied. "Business woman in the making"

I sighed and leaned on the table. "Mom was asking about you, there's a family dinner this week"

"Why is it so often?"

"It's a celebration for Azalea's one month, your god daughter"

Urg! I forgot I had a god daughter.

"I have been a horrible godmother then, I haven't visited Natalia in a while" I replied. "Then you should"

I sighed again and got up. "Perhaps, after work"

"How's Travis?" She asked. "He's in Washington"

"I read the papers, congratulations to you both" she said. "Congratulations to him, I have no knowledge of his business achievements"

She chuckled. "I feel you, thanks once again. I'll send some sauce over" she added. "Don't bother, Bella"

She laughed and continued stirring.

She was indeed a good wife, I kinda I wish—nope!

I headed out the kitchen. "Oh my gosh!" I heard her scream and my head whipped back immediately. "Pearl!" She called out to me and I hurried back in.

"What? What's-"

She turned around slowly, my gaze shot down, blood was trailing down her legs. She looked up at me, her eyes wide, her chest going up and down.

"No no no!" she repeated, raising up her dress as the blood streamed down non stop.

I was frozen at that spot. "No!!!!" She screamed.

I paced back and forth in front of the ward, my hands sweaty. I sat down, my legs trembling. I was conflicted, I couldn't go in, I didn't know what to expect.

"Pearl!" I looked up to see my Mother and Aunties hurrying to me. "Where's she? What happened?" They badgered me with questions.

"She's in there"

"What happened?" My mother asked and I shook my head, wiping my hands. "I don't know, she was fine-"

"Pearl!!!"

"She began bleeding and-" they walked ran past me into the ward, Aunt Lucy turned back to me. "It's okay" she consoled, sitting beside me.

"Will she be okay?" I asked. "She'll be fine" she rubbed my back lightly, I leaned down, my head in my hand. Aunt Regina stepped out and we both rose up.

"How's she?" Aunt Lucy asked. "She's fine" I let out a sigh. "But she lost the baby"

My eyes shot back to her. "Oh gosh!" Aunt Lucy's hands went over her mouth, I took a step back in shock.

"Mom!" Natalia hurried to us. "I got here as fast as I could, what happened?" She questioned while I slowly sat back down

Immediately she heard the news, she hurried into the ward, so did my Aunties. I sat there in silence, in shock, I didn't know how to react.

I didn't know what to do.

I looked up at the door, I couldn't see her, I wouldn't know what to tell her.

I felt my legs trembling, she lost the baby. After months of having it, after all the preparations...

I leaned down, why does this have to happen?

She's one of the people I know who deserves happiness, she deserves the family she wants, she doesn't have to go through this.

I sucked in a breath and got up, I calmed myself and walked to the door, I reached for the knob.

Hesitated for a second, I could hear the other family members inside consoling her. I opened the door slightly but couldn't go any further.

I wasn't the best at these situations, I ran my hands through my hair. What do I tell her? What do I say to make her feel better? How do I—

I stepped away from the door at once, I was panicking. I turned back to walk away but stopped when I saw a figure standing there.

My chest heavy as his gaze settled on me, the emotions reaching the height of it all, I couldn't hold it in any longer.

"I heard you were at the hospital" Travis said and I felt the tears fill my eyes, I was trying to hold them back but couldn't.

I felt it pour down, I wiped them off, my head cast down, my hair falling over my face. I felt his presence in before me.

Looking up, he was standing right there. His silver eyes were calm, he wiped my tears off with his thumb and pulled me to himself.

My hands wrapped around him and that's were I broke down. My breathing ragged, the knot in my chest tightening. I let it all out because I couldn't hold it in any longer, it hurts, everywhere hurts.

He gently stroked my back in comfort.

If I felt this way, how was she feeling right now?
