I stared out of the window as we drove, I let out a sigh, leaning away from my seat. "Rowe 130 street" I redirect Abel and he swerved to the left and sped down.

I glanced at the time, it was almost 8 am. I was gonna be late to the office anyways.

I stepped out of the car once we arrived at the Wayne's surrounding and I headed in. I haven't spoken to her since the whole thing on Monday, it was Wednesday.

And I wasn't looking forward to going to the office, my life was already falling apart. I stepped into the living room and found it empty, I didn't give a shit if that asshole was around—though I doubted.

I was here to see Bella.

I heading to the stairs and went up, "Bella!" I called but there was no response. I got down the hall and stopped at the door, throwing it open, she immediately sprung up from the bed.

"Pearl?" She croaked out, barely awake. "It's your fairy godmother and she's here to get you out. Now come on!" I urged, walking to the closet opposite.

I got in and began getting out dresses, she now sat at the edge of the bed, confusion still evident on her face as she tried to understand the situation. "What are you—what are you doing?" She bleated, rubbing her eyes.

"I should be asking you, it's almost 8 and you're still in bed" I replied, laying the dresses on the bed. "But...where are we—shouldn't you be at work?" She faltered.

"The only work I have today is getting you out of bed. Come on, I called my interior design Ron, we need to get started on fixing that place up for the restaurant " I replied.

"The restaurant?"

"Oh come on, don't tell me you've forgotten the building you paid for " I deadpanned, walking back into the closet. "But it hasn't been —we can't —"

"Who said we can't? Ron is the best, he will get that place fixed in a month " I assured, walking back out with more options. "Now, are you in the mood for dresses or pants?" I inquired, looking up at her.

And that's when I noticed her pouty lips and her eyes simmering with unshed tears. I sighed and walked to her before squatting down. "Pearl, I'm sorry " she whispered.

"Why?"

She shook her head, the tears falling down. "You're here right now, despite everything. Despite what Mom thinks, despite what happened —"

"I made a fool of myself and ruined Mom's party, that's every other day in the Vega's family. That got nothing on you" I shrugged, wiping her tears.

"But I'm scared" she admitted and I stared, pushing out a smile despite the knot tightening in my chest. "I am too"

"I'm very scared, I'm always scared. It's even fear that made me not show up at the office today, fear of confrontation, fear of... standing someone I hurt. So, why don't we be scared together?" I suggested and she pulled out a little smile, more tears falling down.

"That's from a movie" she commented and I chuckled. "Let's do this, Bella "

"Derrick isn't gonna be happy, Mom isn't gonna be in support and I have to..." I nodded as she listed out the excuse.

"I've got one question though " I cut in. "Are you in the mood for pants or dresses because I'm not letting you lay back down on that bed!" I established, getting up.

"We've got a restaurant to plan, it's out there waiting for this visionary chef, Bella Wayne!" I declared and she chuckled.

"The world will never be in support and if I'm the only one, then let me your one woman cheerleader! What do you say, Bella?" I encouraged and she nodded slowly.
