"...I don't wanna do this this morning" I heard voices, "Of course, you don't" Derrick replied and I took steady steps down the stairs and peeped Into the kitchen.
There was Bella and Derrick, "Can you not? You've been doing this for a week now, there is a guest in the house" she whisper yelled.
I knew there was something up between these two, they were fighting lately. "We've been on this before Pearl arrived, you're the one who doesn't wanna talk it out" he interjected but she hissed and walked to the other side.
I wonder what they were fighting about, if anything, they were the perfect couple, what could actually be the problem?
Well, it's Tuesday and I was down and ready to head to work. I was in a mini denim skirt, a light brown sleeveless top with a black corset over it and black heels.
"Bella, we gotta -"
"Good morning, you both" I stepped in before they could start again. "Pearl, you're ready" Bella said.
"Yes, Kourtney really hates it when I'm late" I replied and glanced at Derrick as he walked to the other side.
"Well, you should wait for breakfast"
"No need Bella, I really gotta go" I disagreed and she shot me a look. "Please don't hit me with the judgey eyes, I'll be back early" I promised before making a run for it.
I headed out and let out a sigh, I really felt cooped up in there. I paused when I saw a figure standing by a car in the driveway, walking towards him and he turned fully.
"Good morning, Mrs Ferrari" he greeted. "Morning, are you Abel?" I inquired. "Yes, are you ready to leave?" He asked back.
I swear, I've seen him before somewhere but I couldn't place where exactly. "Yes" I answered and he pulled the door open and I got in before he did.
"First, we will be stopping at the hospital" I chided while he drove out.
Moments later.
"Mrs Ferrari" Jeffrey made a little bow once he saw me. "How are you doing today?" I asked, walking in fully.
"Very well, I could get discharged today" he answered and I took him in once again..it was quite the opposite, he was healing slowly, gosh! It felt like all my fault.
He glanced at Abel behind me and shot him a curt nod, "Don't worry about getting discharged. You need to be fine and alright first" I encouraged him.
"And you should take care of yourself too, Mrs Ferrari. Do not worry about me" he assured and I let out a sigh and glanced at the time. "I have to head out-"
"Mrs Ferrari" he called and I turned, glancing back, Abel wasn't in the room anymore. "Don't keep it to yourself" he said and I shot him a confused look, taking a step closer, "What are you talking about?"
"It is better Mr Ferrari has an idea on everything going on"
"You sound just like him. Are you insinuating I'm in danger?" I asked, crossing my hands over my chest. "Abel will make sure to keep you safe" was the answer he gave before the nurses came in.
I pondered on what he said all the way to the office. What was this safety they were all talking about? Since the accident, everything has been even more encrypted and they keep making me believe this whole shit wasn't an accident.
There was a knock on the door bringing me back to reality, "Come in!" I called and it was pushed open. Davis walked in with a bouquet of flowers in hand.
"Hey! It's been long" I said and he smiled, stepping forward. "Yes, I got you this" he handed them to me. "You sure it isn't for Kourtney?" I asked and he chuckled and took the seat opposite.
