Irene's POV

I was sitting beside Kai, trying my best to comfort him after the failed proposal. I could see how much its hurt him, even if he was trying to mask it with a forced smile.

"It's okay, Kai," I reassured him, my voice gentle. "Baka hindi pa talaga siya handa"

He gave me a small, bitter smile. "I'm okay, Ate. Thank you for being here for me." He sighed deeply, trying to appear calm.

Pgtapos ng maikling pagtahimik ay tumayo siya. "I'm just gonna check on Jennie. She's been gone for a while."

I nodded, understanding. "I'll go with you. I'll just look for Lisa too," I said, not knowing what was going on, but feeling like something was off.

Naglakad kami patungo sa magkaibang direksyon, ngunit muli kaming nagtagpo ng marating namin ang hallway malapit sa bathroom, kita ko si Kai sa unahan ko. He paused, and I watched as he followed Jennie toward the restroom. For some reason, I felt a chill run down my spine. I didn't know why, but it felt like something wasn't right.

And then, it happened.

Kai pushed open the door to the restroom, and my heart stopped when I saw what was inside.

Jennie and Lisa were kissing each other passionately.

My breath hitched in my throat as I stood frozen, unable to speak, watching the scene unfold.

The kiss between them was intense, filled with emotion. Ni hindi nga nila napansin ang presensya namin ni Kai.

"What the fuck?!" Kai's voice was loud and sharp, slicing through the tension in the room.

Jennie and Lisa pulled away quickly, both startled, their faces flushed with shock.

Nakatayo lang ako sa may pinto, hindi ako makagalaw, my heart shattering at the sight. Tears began to form in my eyes, and before I knew it, they were spilling down my cheeks.

I couldn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. All I could do was stare at them, feeling like everything had just crumbled around me.

Jennie's POV

Nagulat kami. Si Kai nakatayo sa may pinto ng banyo, galit na galit. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin.

Kai stormed into the room, his face twisted in fury, and before I could even react, he grabbed Lisa and yanked her out of the bathroom.

"Get the hell out!" Kai screamed, dragging Lisa toward the hallway.

Agad ko silang sinunda, at sinubukang pigilin si Kai.

"Kai, wait! Stop!" I shouted, but he was already too far gone. I couldn't get through to him.

He punched Lisa hard, his fists connecting with her face. I gasped, feeling the impact in my chest.

"Kai! Stop!" I cried, rushing to try and pull him away, but he shoved me aside, not even acknowledging my pleas. His rage was blinding, and all I could hear was the sound of his fists landing on Lisa's body.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST PLAY WITH MY SISTER AND ME?!" Kai yelled, each word like a stab.

"Look what you did, you selfish piece of—"

I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't watch Lisa suffer like this. I couldn't let Kai kill her. My heart ached, seeing Lisa so vulnerable, standing there, not even trying to defend herself. She was letting him hit her.

Tumakbo ako patungo kay Kai at hinili ang braso niya, hinila ko siya papalayo kay Lisa kahit na hindi na ako halos makakita dahil puno na nang luha ang mga mata ko. "Stop it, Kai!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
