Heartbreak.

So so sorry it's short please forgive meh I haven't had much time because I'm working on "Our Promises" sequel so yeah sorry so updated maybe be a little slow and short but bear with me! Here we go

Their eyes met. It was like those silly cliché love stories you watch as you tear up as they run up to each other. Levi didn't run up to Eren, he didn't hug him, and he didn't whisper in his ear how much he missed and loved him. The only reason he was not in the hospital room at the time was because Hanji had somehow convinced him to head home and get some rest. Levi still had dark grey bags hanging from his eyes and looked terrible. But better than he did a few days ago, he was even able to eat a few things and able to digest them without feeling weak and vomiting the food back up.

Levi just paused at the door, wondering if it was all a dream and he wasn't face to face with Eren. Who was now awake and looking at Levi with just as a happy expression. Levi's wasn't just happy, he was shocked and astounded. The doctors said he had such a little chance of walking up. He had deep emotional (and physical) scars it was terrible. Not only had Eren been through hell, but he didn't even feel the need to speak. Every time he opened his mouth to speak a image of Jason hovering over his naked and  freshly wounded body would flash before his eyes and he would shut his mouth. Jason loved to hear Erens voice, it only made him hurt him more. It's not like Eren could just not scream. The pain was unbearable and hard to hold in. When he held it in it would just burn deep in his chest.

"Er......Eren." Levi whispered as he dropped to his knees, shaking violently at the sight of Eren, his Eren, in a hospital bed covered almost head to toe in scars, bruises, and bandages. He was found a little under a month after he was taken. And every second of each day Levi thought to himself that it was all his fault. If he hadn't told Jason about his boyfriend Eren then this would have never ever happened. It wasn't actually Levi's fault, it was all Jason's. If he wasn't such a weirdo asshole who liked to creep and beat guys, also rape Eren But levi didn't know that. Levi was unaware of anything that Jason did to Eren. It was Annie and her team who had found Eren, not Levi. Levi was stuck behind checking the area, making sure Jason wasn't coming back to the house.

He wanted to go inside, but Annie and Bert and Reiner told him it would hurt him too much if he had to witness the state Eren would be in. They knew it would be bad so they expected the best but prepared for the worst.

Good thing they prepared for it. Cause that's what they got, the worst. It was awful and ungodly. The air was thick and damp with a eerie tone. The brick was smelly as well as everything else. Dried blood was splattered over everything and looked old. Not only that but the table of Erens torture weapons. They weren't clean as they to had dried up blood on those as well. Eren was curled into a corner of the room. On the same of tattered mattress which was damp from Erens and Jason's sweat. It was sad, how much there was, how much stuff there was.

Eren didn't speak, obviously. 'Aren't you going to say anything?' Walter spoke up into Erens mind, asking Eren such a simple question. But it wasn't as simple as many people may think. It was a complex and difficult question that not even Eren knew the answer to. 'No, every time I try....I break down.' Eren whimpered at the thought of Jason. 'No rush, take your time, don't let anyone rush you, Eren.' And that's what happened, no one rushed him.

Levi finally got the nerve to walk up and hug, even kiss Eren, whispering to him how much he missed him. Levi even admitted he loved him. Eren wrote down that he loved him too. Levi didn't know why Eren wasn't speaking. Until the nurse explained. It was emotional trauma causing his brain to not let him speak. He had well working vocal cords, although a little sore and strained they worked fine. It was just a day and Levi and Eren talked much more than anyone In a Day could've . Eren used up the whole note pad, resorting to just having Levi ask yes or no questions until the nurse came back. It was nice, quiet mostly but nice. Levi finally got Eren back, although not all of him. Eren was still fragile and broken. It was scary how delicate Levi had to be with Eren. Even hugging Eren made him flinch at be sudden nice gesture. Eren hadn't had anything good happen to him in god knows how long.

It was nice to have something good happen to Eren for once in his days of living in fear. But now he had Levi.

And he couldn't be happier.
