-flashback-

"Eh?! You...you liar! You cheated!" Eren yelled on the couch in a huff, anger surging through his body. Levi scoffed with a roll of his eyes, and glanced back at the TV.

"I did not cheat." Levi stated. Eren rolled his eyes and picked up his gaming controller and restarted the video game. "I just played with my advantages." Levi ended, looking at Eren with a very small smile. Levi couldn't help it. When he looked at Eren he couldn't help but smile. It was just so cute when Eren pouted the way he did. "Oh shut it lets just go get Lee." Eren pushed Levis face away with his hand and chuckled, slipping on his shoes and walking to the front door. Levi followed, after cleaning up the living room and rushing out the front door along with Eren, grabbing his wallet and following him. Levi locked the apartment and walked with Eren down the 5 flights down the stairs. Like the big bang theory, the elevator was out of order and was not going to be fixed for a while.

"Turn left!" Eren turned at Levis direction order. Eren drove everywhere while Levi gave directions just in case Eren didn't know where to go. Levi had offered to drive but Eren insisted that he drive. The trees and scenery rolled past slowly, people walking slow or jogging at a slow or quick pace. Some were alone and other were in big groups. It was a calm day, surprisingly. The air was crisp and warm, happiness filled the air. It was fresh and clean, open and wide. Eren pulled into the lard parking lot of the School, driving in the big ring to get tot the front where Levi would pick up their adopted son who was 11 at the time. Once Levi walked into the school while Eren stayed in the car to keep in running, he observed his surroundings. It was bright and a cheery feeling filled the air that smelled of dry erase markers and lunch. Soon, young little Lee sprang out of a classroom where the rest of the students were piling out of with bored looks on their faces except for wide-eyed Lee who jumped into Levis arms and hugged Levi tightly but wrapping his small arms around Levis neck and pulling him closer, giggling.

"Come on, Lee, Lets go home.'' Levi didn't want to be here any longer, it was filthy and there were lots of snot-nosed kids running about. Even as a kid Levi wasn't messy. It was just how he was like back then and how he will continue to be. Levi grasped his sons hand, that was cleaned and washed, and walked with him out of the school while Lee spouted more and more about how his gym class was and how many friends he has made. "Mommy? You okay?" They crossed the small street and towards Erens car, hand-in-hand. Levi snapped from his thoughts and turned his head down to Lee. "I'm fine.." Levi let go of Lee's small hand and ruffled his hair and then went back to holding his hand. "Okay!" Lee didn't press further, just aimlessly looking about the parking lot. Lots of cars were pulling out of their parking spots and driving out of the parking lot. The two piled into the car and buckled, before Eren drove off with Levi giving directions to Eren, like any other day.

while Eren was driving, no longer needing Levi's directions; Levi looked out of the window beside him, resting his forehead against the warm glass and closing his yes, thinking. This was just like any other day, but why did Levi feel so weight down, like he was laying under a heavy rock, that kept getting bigger and heavier over and over again? Why did he feel like a dark and rainy cloud was hanging low over his head and pouring heavy and thick rain drops dripping on his head. Levi rolled his head on the leather seat, looking up at the car ceiling. Levi shut his eyes, letting himself drift off into a dream.

"Oh, Levi.." His mother cooed, looking at him. Levi open his eyes wide and saw he was at a dinner table. His mother sat next to him and his face was at the other side of the table all the way at the end. His mother or his father didn't look mad or sad, not even confused or angry. "Mom...? Dad...? I haven't sen you in.." Levi was cut off by his mothers calm voice. "Oh, Levi... We're gonna come back and find you...." His mother sighed, looking at her hands that were folded neatly in her lap and smiling at her hands.

"And we are moving back to france..."

-after dream-

Levi woke up, sweaty and hot with a ton of pants escaping his mouth. He was in his familiar and warm living room and under a blanket on the couch. Eren walked in with pajamas and a bowl of something, probably cereal or ice cream. Eren sat next to Levi and looked at him with a worried face. "You okay? Did you have a nightmare?" Eren asked, scooping cereal into his mouth and chewing with his mouth closed and quietly chewed his cereal that looked like "Life". "No, it was nothing. I'm fine." Levi assured, hoping it was just a dream. He hadn't seen in forever, why would he start now having a dream about them now? Why now? Why here? He didn't know. Levi never knew.

-Flash back over-

Levi sighed, looking at the famous french tea shop and taking out his wallet. It was the same one that Eren and Lee bought him for his birthday just last year. Oh, last year. It seemed to far, far away. He wondered what Lee looked like by now, did his hair get shorter or was it longer? Was he still passionate about his art skills? Oh, his art skills. Levi didn't care about buying more tea like his mother requested. He quickly sat at a table and sat down his bags from his earlier store shopping. Levi opened his wallet before digging through it in a hurry just for a glance. It was a month since he held that one simple paper. He had stolen it before he left, from that wooden frame that hung on the wall in the living room. It was the drawing Levi said he hated so much; but Levi now truly treasured it, and held it near to his chest. Levi unfolded the wrinkled and old paper that still had tear stains on it in the middle and the edges. Levis eyes glanced over the drawing, the lines of the crayon messed up from his tears. Levi "tch"ed again, tears slipping from his eyes and landing back onto the paper, making more salty tear stains. He missed Lee, and he missed eren. His eren.

He missed his old life.
